Samet Nangshe Viewpoint (close to Phuket) + Big Buddha and Phuket Old Town 🇹🇭 Thailand travel vlog

In part 1 we rented a car in Old Town Phuket and drove to Phang Nga. On the way we stopped by the Mai Khao Beach next to Phuket airport to go airplane spotting. We then drove to a random location on google maps and ended up doing a boat tour that stopped at James Bond Island as well as the PanYee Floating Village! It was such an amazing day!
This part 2 picks up when we finished the boat tour! Our original plan was to go camping at Samet Nangshe Viewpoint - which was only a 12 minute drive from where we did the boat tour! We quickly arrived at the parking lot for the viewpoint. You actually have to park at the bottom and pay for a songthaew (truck) to drive you up a VERY steep road to the top! When we arrived at the top with all of our camping belongings, we asked about renting tents, but they told us there were no more tents available. We ended up spending a lot more money than we planned on to stay in two bungalows for the night. The bungalows were super basic, but it was still totally worth it to wake up to those views!!!
Samet Nangshe viewpoint has the BEST VIEW we've seen in all of Thailand!!!! We were actually a little disappointed by the sunset, but luckily the sunrise made up for it!
We also had both dinner and breakfast at the little Thai food restaurant on the top of the viewpoint. For dinner we had pad see ew, pad krapao, and our friends tried their first Tom Yum! For breakfast we didn't realize that the restaurant had the exact same menu so we ended up having rice and Thai omelettes for breakfast too.
After watching the best sunrise ever and taking pictures at all of the photo spots, we left Samet Nangshe and started the drive back to Phuket. First we stopped at a cafe right next to the Phuket Big Buddha that Carles and I had been to before. After the spiciest Som Tam EVER and our first durian ice cream, we continued up to the Big Buddha. After that we returned our rental car in Phuket Old Town and walking around the old town walking street which actually had a Sunday night market as well! It was such a big market and so much fun! Luckily we were there at 6pm for our friends to experience their first 6pm Thai national anthem in public! It was really fun to see in the middle of the Sunday market because there were SO many people!
That concluded our Phuket to Phang Nga trip! We hope you enjoyed it because we had SO MUCH FUN!!!

In Thailand you order the main dishes and put in the centre of the table. Then order plain rice dishes for each person. There should be spoons in each main dish. And a fork and spoon with each plate. Then everyone can share and choose from the dishes in the middle.

I like the way Natalie speak 'song taew' , it really cute. You choose the right choice to stay at that bungkalow. I watched other youtuber who choose to camping in tent. Share toilet and bathroom for people who camping in tent is worse than the bathroom in your bungalow, dirty and most of stuff broken.

Actually I can NEVER remember how to pronounce songtaew 🤣🤣 in a video months ago someone said I said it wrong so now I always think I’m wrong 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣 We actually wanted to go camping!! We only ended up in the bungalows because they said we couldn’t go camping. But yes, it was probably worth it!! Also because you had to pay to charge your phones - but in the bungalows we had chargers! And the price was worth it for that sunrise! 😍😍😍

If u want to eat "som tam" like a salad, u should order by call "tam thai" sweet and sour, 1 chili, no garlic, no dry shrimp, and add some green apple, grape, or boil sweet corn (many shop prepare fruit for this)🙂🙂

I think the province mentioned here should be Nakhon Phanom.. Not Nakhon Pathom which is just 50 kms from Bangkok. But Nakhon Phanom is in Esarn or northeast Thailand close to Laos where temperature now is super cold for local Thais.

The one we went to didn’t start with an N (the video will be up Friday 🤗) and it was only like 13C degrees, not 7. But we were SO COLD!!! I was checking the weather too and it seems like last weekend was just extra cold all over 😱
