I'm a sixty something old man...and I have seen a lot of brilliant performers and performances in my time and young Fender is absolutely up there with the best of them. Genuinely talented guy, who can write lyrics with the wisdom of a fifty year old, and he's got a fabulous group of guys playing with him. A reason for optimism in a time that needs all the good vibes we can muster.

I’m American, so I’m not really familiar with too much of regional accents in England. I know Manchester because of Liam, and Noel for example. I am curious, after watching interviews of sam fender, there sounds like there’s a good deal of Scottish in his accent! Is that a thing with the NE?

I'm 66 years old. Grew up during the " British Invasion". I heard Mr. Fender and this song by chance on Music Choice- adult alternative channel. I would have guessed he was from Ireland or Scotland but 17 going under stirred up something in my Scots- Irish heritage DNA that made this old man want to dance an Irish jig. I am now a big fan and will tell all my friends( the ones of us still living) about Sam Fender and his music!
