My question is: if a company follows all the measures, by law, to accommodate a person in a certain leadership position, what type of accommodations/perks are alloted to someone who's having to serve as Acting Leader in the leader's absence? For example, what if a salaried store manager of a company is accommodated for something such as physical therapy, three times a week? To an hourly assistant manager, you might say, "well, you'll get overtime for extra hours, and that sounds fair to me. But what about a salaried Assistant Manager, whose at the salary cap? He or she is used to doing about 45 to 50 hours a week, but with the illness of the supervisor, he or she now works about 60+ hours?

THE THING ABOUT SENORITY OR PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN THERE THE LONGEST IS THAT SOME SENORITY PEOPLE ARE BAD AND SOME ARE GOOD. IVE SEEN SENORITY PEOPLE EVEN CAUSE MANAGERS. AND CREWS TO GET FIRED OVERTIME, BUT THEY ARE STILL WORKING FOR THE COMPANY. " DONT TRUST ALL SENORITY SOME ARE NICE SOME ARE NOT"

But what happens when they say you have to go to a company doctor to be allowed to go back to work.

Hi... Mr. Step? ;) Your employer is legally allowed to request that an independent/third-party medical examination be conducted, however they need your consent to do so. Keep in mind that refusing a third-party medical examination might be viewed as a hindrance to the employer's efforts to provide workplace accommodation. A situation such as this can be a tricky one to navigate. Assistance from an employment lawyer might help one to steer clear of those rough waters.
