​@@heidealbre1518 Frustration of contract occurs when an employer deems an employment contract to have been "frustrated" by an employee's inability to work (aka the contract, or promise of work, can't be completed due to one side not being able to fulfill their end of the bargain). Frustration isn't always a clear cut case, and the specifics of each situation need to be reviewed first before an employer can clearly determine that a contract has been frustrated.

In Canada, you can collect severance AND employment insurance.
