Eerie is a great guy. I had the opportunity to sit at the bar before a Danzig show in 1990 and talk with Eerie for 20 mins. He even bought me a beer. We kept in contact via mail for a few years after that. He's a true class act!
@zim19667 жыл бұрын
yeah he would send me handwritten letters and stuff back before Angels of 7th dawn fanclub shit started.

I had a similar experience with C.O.C's Pepper Keenen at a Black Label Society show at Bogart's bar in Cincinnati. We hung out, drank beer, he even bummed a smoke from me when he ran out for a second. Awesome guy!! No Rockstar bullshit attitude from the Corrosion Of Conformity leader 🤘

I had a similar experience with the current Danzig drummer Johnny Kelly who has been with Danzig now for a minimum of 20yrs now!! Johnny Kelly is a total class act through & through & he’ll sometimes chat with you for quite sometime if he has the time.

Samhain versions of the danzig1 songs are awesome. I got some boots when I was a kid and ordered the box set when it came out. Another cool fact back in the days of aol, I met eerie vons wife in a chat room which lead to me making him a boot copy of the nin video with the serial killer stuff. The one that was only given to trends friends. In return he auto graphed a bunch of sambal. And danish stuff for me.

Awesome, wonderful guy wonderful music . His solo stuff is excellent especially the Blood and The Body album, and his time in Danzig was some of the best stuff they did.

Duke Togo - Pitchokey666 oh wow so do I! I with Glenn could get the original lineup, John, Chuck Eerie and do a tour and album but I think Glenn quit touring.
@nauseatingpain7 жыл бұрын
eh, that would never happen and in a universe where it did that would kind of spoil the magic of the records they did do together. can't really be matched.

Great interview. I also consider the first Danzig album to be Samhain.
@GilbertSyndrome7 жыл бұрын
I guess it pretty much is, in a way, but it's the beginning of the end of Samhain, tbh. With Christ and Biscuits involved they could spread their wings and do more varied work, which is what they did.
@thetornprince1387 жыл бұрын
I always felt the last Samhain album was the first Danzig Album.
@hamupinhere6 жыл бұрын
Other than sharing a few of the same band members and songs--albeit, earlier cuts--comparing Samhain and Danzig is like comparing Alien Sex Fiend and AC/DC.
@allsystemsgo86786 жыл бұрын
Possession sounds like Samhain, but that's it.
@jasondankenbring17104 жыл бұрын
@@allsystemsgo8678 The Samhain version does, but none of the final Danzig versions sound ANYTHING like Samhain. The musicians were just far too good. Even Final Descent (the final Samhain record which was recorded by the entire Danzig band a few years after they got together.) doesn't sound like Danzig (even though it probably should. The types of songs they used are just too different, as was their approach to playing them.

Miguel Rodriguez YOU ARE RIGHT. AND I DON'T understand WHAT the DEAL WAS WITH THAT because Eerie WAS ALWAYS COOL IN THE PAST. i mean HE IS a FAN of the Misfits and Samhain just LIKE I am.
