Samhain Season: The Parting Glass

I enjoyed the performance, but I think the assertion that the center figure of the song is dying is unjustified. In my life I have moved multiple times across the U.S. because of my work and I have left many close friends and relatives behind. Some have died in the ensuing years, including some very close to me. I have had to say goodbye to far too many people I have loved. Friends and family. So, I have raised a parting glass more than once.
