Hyypia is amazing. Best defender ever. 10 years of greatness. Such a legendary player. Just goes to show you that soccer was better and more intense at one point. An absolute icon. I always respected and admired him despite being a Man Utd fan. Great and honorable leader for the club. Miss seeing players like him with that much passion and love for the sport. They are a rare breed nowadays. He has so much loyalty and integrity. Very charismatic and influential. Finnish legend. Terrifying centre-back to face against.

Love this big guy. A true colossus of a man. Hit accurate cross field passes with both feet, scored goals, never sulked or moaned when the captaincy was taken from him for Gerrard. Totally underrated outside of Anfield but in today’s crazy money transfers would be priceless. All round I think he’s more complete as a CB than Van Dyke but, imagine the two of them together.

Houllier's best signing was Sami, I remember the season before he came Liverpool were awful defensively and UNITED had got Jaap Stam, I was so jealous they got the Dutch man. And when Sami came in from Willem II. I Knew we had got a player who would dominate in the air. What a deal 2.6m was for the service he gave Liverpool!!
