Imagine trying to play Widowmaker in OW, and having to deal with a Genji with 3 dashes, a Sombra with a deflect, a Doomfist with a Roadhog Hook, and a Reinhardt with a Winston leap. Being good at a game helps, A dev who cannot play at a high level has to predict what the interactions of a character is going to be at a high skill level. ​If the dev is already a good player then they don't need to get lost in the graphs and pick rates to see who's dominating, they can see how the game "feels" at the high level which is most important because you cannot predict how things "feel" at high level if you're not high level yourself@@demifolk8940

I honestly doubt it's a one-shot. Marvel seem to have learned every lesson they can from Overwatch's failures and I really doubt they would give her a one-shot, at least not without some significant downside or a charge-up like Hawkeye's. Keep in mind that it's a hero trailer, it's just meant to make her look cool, and it would look pretty lame if they had her stand there and shoot every enemy in the head twice lol

It is if you actually pay attention, the damage done is shown by a grey bar on health bar. Every target that was hit and that survived was low hp already and were body shots. The headshots are definitely the same, at most its a 175 headshot where lowest hp is 250.

Ban system is comp only. Map design will be the determining factor, some of the indoor maps don't have ultra long ranges, so Vanguards/Hyper mobile Duelists should be able to close the gap. Don't be sad, the game hasn't even dropped yet, and people are making assumptions. Just sit back and wait

Blizzard is about to get a wake-up call with Marvel Rivals and PoE2 launch. Hopefully, OW2 and D4 up their ante but it might be too little too late. Healthy competition ultimately benefits the consumer but I think Blizzard just threw in the towel. From what I've seen, Rivals seems pretty balanced with a dev team that plays and knows how to balance so I'm not worried with it at all.

It maybe "strong" but i prefer it more that a escape ability and her resetting her distance. It's like diving Widowmaker on Genji who you have to travel across the map to get them but instead of her jumping into the skybox to snipe you or fleeing across another vantage point for you to travel across again, she pulls out escrima sticks and tries to fight back. If we are playing melee characters here which is the best for diving of course, we should have the better kit to kill her in the melee 1v1. Iron Fist for one, will absolutely dog her in that regard.

All i can say is that i know the 3rd person view isnt for everyone but nobody cant deny marvel rivals innovated with hero bans, team-up abilities, factions, tournament system, replay any game, has a massive lore and worldbuilding based on the marvel universe. OW2 was a regression and made ow lost its soul. For the first time we are witnessing a true competitor to ow and one can pray for marvels success and ow getting their sh**t together.

I hate sniper, I’m a Genji main but The difference is heroes that can shut her down are not gonna get nerf and be useless. There will be an option to Rival her. Plus it’s 6v6, so a Tank like Venom, Hulk, Captain America can beat her up, well the other tank can help the team push up diving heroes in Rivals are way better than in OW2, Going to be really hard to headshot Spider-Man because he’s so fast and the team up with Venom allow Spider-Man to kill her in 1 second. Also Just ban her when you are in Diamond or above, it’s the best competitive system for players who actually care.

​@@Capn_Chunknaa, this gameis at its core completely different to OW. First you have 6v6 with no role lock, so you can change to as many dive dps/tanks as you need. Second, the mobility in this game is crazy compared to OW, remember that classic Genji bug that made him able to fly after dashing a ledge? Well Rivals mobility is like that, amplified, and is 100% intended instead of a bug. Then you have maps that are way more dinamic, moving covers and changing environments, and also the map destruction that gives players the chance to break walls and windows to create unexpected flank routes. There's also the fact that BW doesn't have a get out of jail free card, as her grapple is not a mobility tool to escape but more like a hook to combo with your melee weapons, and she doesn't has a mine to guard her flanks passively, so she actually needs to have mao awareness to avoid being dived every 10 seconds. And again, she doesn't one shots...

@pixavier9746 "Needs" is subjective. But it'd be wise to have it as an option. It's better in my opinion. But Punisher has a first person turret option so that's not entirely true. Hopefully there are a couple more.
