and no it's not bad to have a "light period" while in birth control because it's not a period at all, since you don't ovulate any more you don't heave menstrual periods, that blood that comes out doesn't really mean anything, it's just the lining of your uterus shedding because of the drop of hormones, not related to periods at all.

I disagree. My wife and I waited until our wedding night, and because of the stress of the day, and not getting to hardly eat during the reception, and not getting to the hotel until late, by the time it came around it was painful and we just kinda gave up. We’d had an opportunity like three days before our wedding and we both wish we hadn’t waited. I am glad that we did wait until we were responsible, because if we had started when we first started dating we probably would not have finished high school before having kids. We dated for 6 years before we got married, but I wish we had started after we graduated high school. While it was special, there was just so much pressure on a day that was already so full of events.

There is this enormous societal pressure from Christian’s to wait until marriage, despite it not being in the Bible at all. And guilt tripping children into waiting, and then having them face severe emotional distress and shame from not meeting a requirement that doesn’t exist is bad. If they want to wait, cool. If they don’t, also cool.

Once again, I am speaking from my experience: I grew up with the belief that it was sinful to have sex before marriage, and that I would experience shame and disappointment, ruin my sexual experiences for the rest of my life, and many more things. I experienced extreme anxiety because intimacy seemed like it was right, natural, approved by god, and with a single person, to whom I am still married sixteen years later. Now as an adult I see that I was handed all of this guilt and anxiety and embarrassment over something that I should not have been. I should have been proud that we were devoted to each other. I should have been excited to experience intimacy. As adults, my wife and I agree that it was good we did not do anything in high school while we were immature and unprepared for the real world. But we also both agree that when we got to college we absolutely should not have waited. We built up this image in our minds that because it was “forbidden” it must be an experience beyond this world. What we found was that the love we already had for each other for six years was more meaningful than the physical experience we put up on a pedestal. What we now know is that the Bible doesn’t forbid premarital sex. Our parents would have still loved us, and we wouldn’t have been disowned. We wouldn’t have disappointed god, our families, or ourselves if we had enjoyed that aspect of our relationship months or years before a legal ceremony occurred. The entire reason for my comment is to dispel this myth. People within the church propagate this lie that it is sinful and morally corrupt, when it simply isn’t so. I don’t want young people to decide to wait because they feel they will disappoint god by doing something that god didn’t say not to do. If they want to wait, cool. Like I said, I am glad we waited through high school until we were really mature enough to make those decisions. But there should be no shame or gilt applied to people who choose not to wait, and people who do wait should not be put in some pedestal for achieving a goal of man, not god.

Its normal for your flow to be light while on birth control. Before i got put on birth control i had a heavy flow but on birth control i have such a light flow that its not really noticeable except for heavy cramping my doctor said it's normal

I have heavy flow, I’ve always compared it to a murder scene, lol! I get clots a little bit, but… I also get long dripping streak lines, that’s really runny, & fast! I can say that I don’t feel the clots coming out, I just feel the period flow coming out, & a lot of times it feels like pee, until I realize, & remember that it’s not pee! And I also feel the cramps in my stomach too, & get so bloated that I don’t feel eating anything, or doing anything with it, until I make myself eat a small snack, which barely anything! But… without being bloated, or/& especially without cramps, I’m the same way when I’m not on my period, & kind of eat a lot, lol! And I love chocolate in general, & I love marchino cherries, & I love the chocolate covered cherries too! I don’t like the dark chocolate for anything in general, because it’s too rich for me! But… does anyone else crave chocolate a lot more on your period, then when you’re on it?
