Hi Sam! I use a stalogy for my scripture writing and general health updates. I lost 77 lbs since the beginning of the year, and every few days, I just write a small update. I use fountain pens, and they work fine for me! Merry Christmas🎄

Stalogy gets my vote, I love stalogy, if I didn’t have to draw my own layouts it would be my main planner. The paper is wonderful.

Stalogy notebooks aee just a dream. My system always has one included. The B6 and A6 both have 5mm grid. The A5 is 4mm, which I struggle with. The 5mm grid spacing is perfect! This is my usual combo! Merry Christmas Sam 🎄🫶🫶

I use the stalogy and love the paper. My husband uses a rite-in-the-rain hard cover that he carries with him and I love the physical size of the book and every time I hold the book in my hand I like the way it feels and second guess myself and try to think I should use it, and always go back to the stalogy

I work somewhere that sells Leuchtturms and we have at least 3 A5's in that color: 1 gridded, 1 dot grid, and 1 lined.

One, I think you've made the best choice that will work with your brain's needs right now, and that's what matters the most. Two, it's okay to keep changing your mind and trying other things until you find that best option. Three, don't feel pressured to stick with one thing all year bc of things like cost or the sake of consistency. Our brains' needs change over time, some faster than others. And if talking to yourself (and us) on camera is what helps you make those decisions, that's perfectly fine! I for one am definitely here for it! 😊 I would like to add, though, that if you still want the ability to tear out some sheets when you're on the go, I would keep the Pen and Gear notebook in your bag for that specific purpose. That way you've got the 🎶best of both worlds!🎶😂

Stalogy is holding up better than my hobo cousin!!! If I had not spent money on setting up the cousin already I would just use my stal for brain dumps and lists and then a journal for some memory keeping and/or journaling! I’m so mad that I purchased the hobo cousin but I’m also excited because it’s been years since I have been pen to paper! My problem is organizing and hence why I have the need for many notebooks myself:( I don’t like myself for it because I’m not creative and have not been able to figure out what will work best but I’m trying to stay patient

I successfully used a b6 stalogy this year for my braindump/lists/messy notes in a chic sparrow cover and it was a dream! I transferred anything important to my EDC but i really enjoyed using any pen flavor of the day in it. I vote for b6❤😊

I can’t even decide on my planner, have been in the pocket moleskine… love it… but feel like I need something bigger, then all the ads start showing up… commit 30, sterling I k, etc! 😂😂😂. My new pocket is on the way…. But I’m doubting it now😂😂 what’s a girl to do? Have a Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year!

I am having a similar issue with my Hobonichi for 2025. I really love the hard cover + bookmarks and English HON version but I think it is too big and thick to carry around in my pocket. I can use the Avec because it is very small and easy to carry around everywhere which is important to me, but I wish it had the bookmarks and the English days of the week like the HON. I don't wanna commit to the HON and then get annoyed by the size, but I also don't wanna miss out on it now that I bought it

I know the struggle (different, but same) I have my central planner figured out -- my ride or die is my Hobo Cousin. I love that book. I am trying to figure out what works best for my work planner (I am a new SpEd teacher) and want something separate. I have a Hobo A6, but I don't know what I want to use. I am back and forth between that and the Stalogy B6 and adopt the Bullet Journal system. That way I can have a page-a-day and the "next blank page" I need. The decision struggle is very, very real...

Merry Christmas Sam.!! Enjoy The holiday with ur family.!! And maybe after the holiday, It will just come to you on which journal to use. I used to like journals w/ dot however now, I have to have the grid, so much easier on my eyes and I don’t stray downwards or upwards while I’m writing like I do with the dot pattern now.! I understand about the outside color of the Leuchtturn, it’s a beautiful color, too bad you didn’t ask Santa for a cover that color.!! Then ur decision would be easier.!! 💖😁 Blessings & Happy Holidays

I couldn’t get on with the LEUCHTTURM1 paper either. Last year I bought three of them at HomeGoods of all places because they were such a bargain price. Didn’t like the paper so I ended up gifting them to my granddaughters. Too bad about the paper, because they make them in a6 and pocket I think, and those would make the perfect EDC if not for the paper. Regarding the Stalogy, I love it. And I have it in all sizes. My only issue with it is the-softer covers. Had this issue with the Sterling ink planners/notebooks as well. I just need something a bit firmer to write on. So I usually put my Stalogy in a cover, too. I prefer a folio style cover, but if I lack one in any particular size, they work pretty good in strings as well. Especially the half year version. I have my 2025 main planner firmed up but I have a host of other planners/notebooks that I’ve yet to figure out what to do with in 2025. And I told myself I wasn’t going to go crazy in 2025 as in past years. And here I am with a weeks, an a6, an a5, a goal planner, a main planner, etc., etc. Ha ha. By the way, I still use the beautiful pocket size leather cover from Chic Sparrow that you collaborated on. OMG I love that thing. I use it with a sterling ink pocket notebook or a moleskine, though not a fan of moleskine paper. Sometimes I use a thicker pocket notebook in the cover and other times I just used two thin field notes, one on each side. I will never give it up and every time I use it I thank you for coming up with that design. The front pocket is amazing! Anyway, we are all on a journey and a fun one at that. I haven’t picked up any of the pen and gear spiral bound notebooks from Walmart, but I have occasionally picked up the pocket size hardbound pen and gear ones. I really like the paper! And they change the cover design periodically so I’m getting together quite a little collection. The pen and gear hardbound fit in the chic sparrow cover you designed quite well.
