To be honest most cars you see in Japan are vans and kei cars. Unless you have a car or have connections many tuner locations are hard to get by and many tuners are not as friendly to people rolling up unless they are there for business.

The tech is great. So are the meet ups and the track days. Content keeps me coming back and I even find myself looking up some of your references, like the Rocket Bunny rear delete. You just dumbed down yourself with the 420 reference. I hope your sponsors don’t care about perceived images. Remember, you have all sorts interested in your content and not just the lads snickering at your “lucky number”.

agree the rear bumper is one of the best bits of the RB kit, the CAS controls ignition fire point and the injectors fire point so when the CAS goes bad both are off time, I have the CA18det im sure you know how bad they can wear the little splines, the RB CAS drive slot idea is better but a crank trigger is best and nearly eliminates all cambelt flutuation and the resulting rapid cam timing changing = power loss

Does sound a wayyyy different under load and during idle! Always a good sign when it starts up faster in my experience. Like you said 30 year old CAS technology is far outdated & makes sense why RB owners are big fans of the trigger kit. Spark plug gap helps too. Rbs r rare in the usa would like a rb30det or a 3 or 4 rotor wankel with a turbo from a catipiller on it. But i do like the sr20 its easily one of the greatest 4 cylinders ever built.

I'm late to the party Sam, I have a very important question for you: Did you have to retune after installing this trigger kit? That's my only hesitation.
@SAMMIT3 жыл бұрын
Nope, once you set it up in the ECU you don't need a retune. But you can go get a retune to unlock more power you've been missing out on due to the old CAS. With the new trigger kit you can use more ignition timing & fine tune it.
@michaelwillette58373 жыл бұрын
@@SAMMIT Thank you sir. I was wrong about it being my only hesitation. I've been living in the 90s too long. My Standalone won't recognize it. Looks like I'll have to go Link G4+ too. No other choice now! Thanks again!

Look at Shaken (車検) to see why
@latsbrahh4 жыл бұрын
Nah. Fees are charged at shaken every 2 years. Normally about $800 USD for a normal car, and $500 USD for Kei cars. Cars older than 13 years are taxed and extra 10%. The truth is that a $2000 USD bill to fix items picked on the safety inspection seems like a lot for a $10k Kei car. So most people will just buy a new car instead of spending heaps to fix their cheap cars. And also manufacturers safety marketing has played a big part as it has in other first world countries where car loans are becoming more and more prevelant.
