Roth was an exceptional front man, among the very best ever. Only age could stop him, and there is no dishonor in that. Hagar was never that type of showman but somehow defies the passage of time and remains an exceptionally powerful vocalist at 72 years old. I admire and respect that.
@Xevonarin4 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Roth and Sammy are both incredible, but in very different ways. Sammy is a vocal powerhouse, easily one of the most capable and consistent vocalists in history and he's held onto his voice like few others ever could. Roth on the otherhand was a master frontman and an incredibly clever songwriter. While I never disliked his voice, he just doesn't have the talent for singing that Sammy had, but he penned some of the most creative and entertaining songs in history and brought them to life with his eccentric and ridiculous sense of humour and bravado. They're both amazing, but for different reasons.

Love Vic Johnson's playing. This dude has been underrated since his Busboys Days. Sammy still sounds amazing. Mere him during a Wabos Show at The State Theater in Portland Maine. Asked him how he keeps the chords(Vocal)in such good shape? "No Cheeba,my man!" Mikey's Harmonies are still fresh and Bonzo Jr. can play anything!

In my opinion, that is...I've been a Van Halen since before they were Van Halen...I actually went to a couple of parties where Eddie played with different bandmates...I feel extremely lucky to have heard the brown sound before the rest of the world...Vic plays like Eddie used to...with heart, not ego...Eddie will always be the first guitarist to make me pick up my Ibanez in 1984...I still own "ol' Blue", and try as I might, I'll never play like Ed...

This band is an absolute powerhouse! They can play any song, and add weight and dimension to songs you may not have ever cared about before. Vic is a BEAST! Hey Mike, did Sammy show you how to play bass on that one? LMAO!! Mike is more respected and loved than he'll ever know. I see a lot of similarities between Jason and Wolfgang. They took their heritage and built on it, rather than being content simply being the offspring of two of the most important figures in music history. It's been great to see the friendly interaction between Sammy and Wolfgang, because it shows that Wolf won't get caught up in whatever has kept his dad and Sammy apart and he even professed his love for Balance! I feel like something good might actually come out of this dumpster fire of a year, and these home sessions sure do a great job to lift our spirits! Keep it up boys!

I agree, one of the best things to come out of this year has been all the different people hooking up to do these home sessions.

Maybe once people start touring again, Wolf will join the Circle for a song or two somewhere. Even for "Rock and Roll" or "You Really Got Me" - it would be fun to put a guitar in his hands and let him join in the vocals. They can cancel the pyro for that night, because Ed and Al will provide it when their heads explode.
