I moved to Australia from California 6 years ago. When I moved to Melbourne I had no idea what a beautiful place it is and now I feel so lucky. I travel the great ocean road once a year since the pandemic lifted. It really is a breathtaking drive.

You guys are really good video-makers. You never forget the viewers. It’s as if we are travelling with you. Your editing is perfect. And you know how to enjoy yourselves by Sampling, and indulging in, the local wines and beers as you travel. Great stuff!

You know we don't really have our own cuisine, which many visitors get upset by, but we are a new nation and what we have done is perfected or put our own twist on a lot of food from all over the world. I'm glad you guys had a good fish and chips experience on the perfect day for it. Sometimes I prefer a cloudy day to take in nature, as sometimes the sun can be a bit bright and certain colours do pop in the weather. You might have also noticed how fresh the air was on the south coast, coming up from Antarctica.
@SammyandTommy11 күн бұрын
Yes, nothing beats that fresh crisp air! Agree, the weather was so good for getting some moody shots :)

It's funny many people talk about the weather on the great ocean road. But you got to remember it's facing the Southern ocean and the next land in Antartica. When we did the G.O.R. day 1 was sunny and warm and it was yeah..ok (we come from a place of warm sunny beaches ). But day 2 was cold, showery and huge seas. Now that day, that day was spectacular.

Loved this reaction to the Great Ocean Road, one of my very favourite places to visit. I’m sorry the sun wasn’t out for you; when the sun is shining on the water the colours are amazing!

Of course, when it rains, you can get the most awesome rainbows on the planet on the Great Ocean Road.

I found your channel while you were on your Puglia Italy road trip and I am so excited to be watching you guys now in Australia! Welcome and I hope you have the best time - we finished our Big Lap of Australia last year but we're still going and living full time on the road and it really is a unique and beautiful part of the World. The GOR is one of our favourite spots that surprised us! Loved the video as usual x

Note worthy is that quite a few die hard International surfers have either flown over with Bells Beach Board or bought a Bells Beach surf board & surfer there, then taken them home. Extremely iconic for surfers here & internationally. Some internationals that I know have gotten a way better price selling them because they the surf board has been used there.

Always interesting watching people exploring Australia - and not just in the way places and local things/foods are pronounced (e.g. scallops vs scollops). Did you realise that the fish you ate (Flake) is shark? Well, now you do. I am glad you are enjoying your time here.

Such a shame, the weather wasn't the best. Hope it improves. You have to try a Dim Sim or Chiko Roll too at a fish and chip shop and also must have a Vanilla Slice "aka snot block" from a cake shop or bakery.

Thanks so much for your videos, you're doing a great job with your photography and commentary and I'm enjoying it very much. It's lovely to see many places that I haven't seen for so long but still appreciate and enjoy seeing. I don't know whether you have already considered it, but if not may I suggest if you return that way, Healesville Sanctuary at Badgers Creek, part of Zoos Victoria. You'll see all the native animals you want there. It's a lovely place. Hoping you'll visit the Penguin Parade and agree very much with Wye River and The Otways. Have a wonderful trip and holiday and thanks again to the four of you. Wonderful job 😊

You want sun? Perth is the sunniest city in Australia thanks to 3,200 hours of the good stuff annually. That's 8.8 hours of sunshine per day. It has a sunny disposition too, with 19 beautiful white-sand beaches along 76 miles of metropolitan coastline, a thriving art and food scene, and the world's largest city park. Western Australia also has the longest coastline of any Australian state or territory, with a total length of 20,781 kilometers (12,913 miles) including islands. This includes 12,889 kilometers (8,016 miles) of mainland coastline.
