Prisc Jenem 224th Street and White Plains Rd. till 1976 then moved to Brooklyn. No thrift stores back then in my neighborhood.

There were a couple of Thrift stores on 205Th & Bainbridge in the 70's/80's. Between that and the Army/Navy store for Levi's & Pro keds High tops. which were more popular than converse hi tops back in the day. Loved growing up in the Bronx so many cool mom & pop shops not like today with all crappy soul - less chain stores.

I don't care how much Sandy put the store down it is a thrifter's dream. Love this store. I am a Baby BOOMER so am familiar with many designers. I am sure the store cleans the clothes or makes sure they are not dirty. I doubt if the previous owner's wore something and donated it the same day. Sammie dee is a little sarcastic. Alex is just a joy.

This store must be high- end but affordable. It would be fun shopping here.just have time and patience. I am sure either the clothes are donated new or come from high class clientele. Alex looks too young to have a7 year old daughter. She is so pretty and just delightful.

Suzanne! Saw your comment on the other video, but I'll answer here. It's actually from Lands End! It's great. It's super light and pretty warm. The pockets are DA BOMB. It was from this past season (2017). I highly rec the brand for quality that lasts. If you live in a cold weather climate then ya need something like this.

I'm not hating on your video but this store Unique is probably the worst thrift shop in the Bronx. I have not been there in more than a year. The people that work there aren't too nice and they have undercovers there ALL THE TIME. Meaning that they have people that walk around acting like they are buying something when they really not and are just spying on people. One of the undercovers there is named "Ralphie" the light skin guy with the green eyes who walks around thinking he's a big shot. In that store, they won't sell you merchandise if the price tag is not on the item too. I just feel uncomfortable when I go there and I'll probably go there when they have new people working there.
