وَاتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَاَ اِبۡرٰهِيۡمَ‌ۘ ۞اِذۡ قَالَ لِاَبِيۡهِ وَقَوۡمِهٖ مَا تَعۡبُدُوۡنَ ۞قَالُوۡا نَـعۡبُدُ اَصۡنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عٰكِفِيۡنَ‏ ۞قَالَ هَلۡ يَسۡمَعُوۡنَكُمۡ اِذۡ تَدۡعُوۡنَۙ ۞اَوۡ يَنۡفَعُوۡنَكُمۡ اَوۡ يَضُرُّوۡنَ ۞قَالُوۡا بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَاۤ اٰبَآءَنَا كَذٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ‏ ۞قَالَ اَفَرَءَيۡتُمۡ مَّا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُوۡنَۙ ۞اَنۡـتُمۡ وَاٰبَآؤُكُمُ الۡاَقۡدَمُوۡنَ ۞ فَاِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوٌّ لِّىۡۤ اِلَّا رَبَّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَۙ‏ ۞الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَنِىۡ فَهُوَ يَهۡدِيۡنِۙ‏ ۞وَالَّذِىۡ هُوَ يُطۡعِمُنِىۡ وَيَسۡقِيۡنِۙ ۞وَاِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ يَشۡفِيۡنِ ۞ وَالَّذِىۡ يُمِيۡتُنِىۡ ثُمَّ يُحۡيِيۡنِۙ ۞وَالَّذِىۡۤ اَطۡمَعُ اَنۡ يَّغۡفِرَ لِىۡ خَطِٓیْـئَـتِىۡ يَوۡمَ الدِّيۡنِ ۞رَبِّ هَبۡ لِىۡ حُكۡمًا وَّاَلۡحِقۡنِىۡ بِالصّٰلِحِيۡنَۙ ۞وَاجۡعَلْ لِّىۡ لِسَانَ صِدۡقٍ فِى الۡاٰخِرِيۡنَۙ ۞وَاجۡعَلۡنِىۡ مِنۡ وَّرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيۡمِۙ ۞ وَاغۡفِرۡ لِاَبِىۡۤ اِنَّهٗ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّآلِّيۡنَۙ ۞وَلَا تُخۡزِنِىۡ يَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُوۡنَۙ ۞يَوۡمَ لَا يَنۡفَعُ مَالٌ وَّلَا بَنُوۡنَۙ ۞اِلَّا مَنۡ اَتَى اللّٰهَ بِقَلۡبٍ سَلِيۡمٍؕ ۞ وَاُزۡلِفَتِ الۡجَـنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَۙ ۞وَبُرِّزَتِ الۡجَحِيۡمُ لِلۡغٰوِيۡنَۙ ۞وَقِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ اَيۡنَمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُوۡنَۙ ۞مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِؕ هَلۡ يَنۡصُرُوۡنَكُمۡ اَوۡ يَنۡتَصِرُوۡنَؕ ۞فَكُبۡكِبُوۡا فِيۡهَا هُمۡ وَالۡغَاوٗنَۙ ۞وَجُنُوۡدُ اِبۡلِيۡسَ اَجۡمَعُوۡنَؕ ۞قَالُوۡا وَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا يَخۡتَصِمُوۡنَۙ‏ ۞تَاللّٰهِ اِنۡ كُنَّا لَفِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيۡنٍۙ‏ ۞اِذۡ نُسَوِّيۡكُمۡ بِرَبِّ الۡعٰلَمِيۡنَ ۞وَمَاۤ اَضَلَّنَاۤ اِلَّا الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ ۞فَمَا لَـنَا مِنۡ شٰفِعِيۡنَۙ ۞وَلَا صَدِيۡقٍ حَمِيۡمٍ ۞فَلَوۡ اَنَّ لَـنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ۞اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰ لِكَ لَاٰيَةً‌  ؕ وَّمَا كَانَ اَكۡثَرُهُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ۞وَاِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الۡعَزِيۡزُ الرَّحِيۡمُ ۞ Relate the news of Abraham to them. When he asked his father and his people: \"What do you worship?\" They replied: \"We worship idols and are devoted to them.\" (Abraham) asked: \"Do they hear when you call them? Or do they benefit you, or do you harm?\" They said: \"No. But we found our fathers doing so. He said: \"Have you considered what you have been worshipping, You and your fathers? Yet they are my enemies except the Lord of all the worlds. Who created me and showed me the way, Who gives me food and drink, And heals me when I am sick, Who will make me die, then give me life again, And who, I hope, will condone my faults on the Day of Judgement. O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, And uphold my name with posterity, And put me among the inheritors of Paradise. Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray. And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves. The day when neither wealth nor children will be of any avail. But to him who comes to God with a tranquil heart. Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path And Hell made visible to those who had gone astray. They will be asked: Where are those you worshipped. Other than God? Can they save you or even save themselves? They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray. Together with the hordes of Iblis. Disputing among themselves they will say:\"By God, we were plainly in error. In equating you with the Lord of all the worlds; No one but the sinners led us astray. Now we have none to intercede for us ,Nor any sincere friend. If only we could return and be among the believers!\" Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe. Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful.
