Read this book a while back and I was marvelled by the talent this gentleman from our shores hold! Albert Wendt has both art and creativity! I was told by my professor then that he was an atheist. So am interested to hear from him why?
@-Unfiltered-CoconuT-7 ай бұрын
His daughters books are enjoyable as well. As for the atheist part. I'm curious as well. Sometimes I wonder if it's due to bigotry. A person can praise God with one mouth, but with their tongue... slice into another.

Sione is a Tongan name for John why isn’t his name Ioane ? Ffs
@rogue_luko7 ай бұрын
A'e sole, 'Sione' is an alternative version of the biblical name 'John' in the Samoan language. I know of toeaina from my ekalesia called Sione & also Sione's\Ioane's during my time at Avele kolisi. Although Sione is the Tongan transliteration of John - it is also used in Tokelau, Niue, & Tuvalu as alternate uses for 'John'.
@StanslaMichael7 ай бұрын
@@rogue_lukoWTF you on about? It's not the alternative at all. LMFAO. The samoan translation for John is ioane, the togan translation is sione, which many other island nations use as well, some swapping the s for t, it's a valid question he's playing a Samoa therfore his name should have been ioane, not sione.
@kigitau7 ай бұрын
@@StanslaMichael why are you mad though? I've had uncles much older than I, who are Siones.. I've always wondered about this though.

@@kigitau LMFAO not mad, that's you reading way too much into a comment and getting hurt by it.
@Breaktronix7 ай бұрын
Honestly? Really? You want to be angry about a name when you say FFS haha Sorry doks, it is both a Tongan and Samoan name, not just Tongan. Who cares anyway, just pretend his name was John 🤣🤣
