I had Samoan friends I grew up with when I was younger. Some of the nicest most welcoming people I've ever met. Lost contact when we moved out of state. And trust you don't want no problems with them super protective if they got love for you.

Mexicans call it barbacoa aka barbecue and we use cactus leaves or agave leaves or banana leaves to coat the outside of the hole and then we cook our carne inside.

Mexican Mezcal is actually made excatly like that, & because of it, Mezcal was considered the poor man's tequila. Pretty crazy to see similarities between cultures.

Mexicans have a similar style , makes food incredibly tender, I compete in BBQ competitions and I used this method once and placed so I use this method on my pork always

Im hawaiian samoan and we do the umu and imu here in the islands nothing better then the crisp on that meat and the earthy flavors from the smoke. Poly love!!!

@@babyninja7883 It’s not a done, it’s a big hole, it’s called Barbacoa aka barbecue, it’s a big hole and you coat the perimeter of the hole with Agave leaves or nopal or Banana leaves, it’s very common in Mexican and has been for very long.

The imu or lovo is a great way to cook for 50 people. In Fiji also, they also use outdoor kitchen and woodburning stoves. The wood imparts an aroma and flavor unlike any other cooking. The island people's use of Dalo/Taro makes strong bones because of the Calcium content. Thanks for sharing.

I'm salvadorian but don't look salvadorian if that makes any sense, I've been told I look like an Asian decent Japanese/Philippines. Others ask me if I'm Samoan/ Hawaii islander. But the moment I switch up my hair style I automatically change cultures such as Dominican/puerto rican/ light skin African American. Buttt if I let my hair grow out and just get a low fade my hair turns a wavy curly with a slight of brown hair touch and look a bit italian but this is only when I shed some weight off 😂😂 I swear I have a bit of every nation in my Blood mind you in tue cold my melanin clears out and I turn into a light light caramel with a slight of pink and red skin tone 😂

When I was about 15, I was on the football team and some Mexican gangster dudes wanted to jump me after practice. I’m Mexican too but I was just 145 pounds but I had two Samoan friends and before I even knew what was happening, they surrounded me and made a barrier from the dudes that was about to jump me and put their dukes up. These guys were already 200 pounds as freshmen. Nothing happened and those guys stopped bothering me. FYI those guys heads are like bowling balls, you can’t knock them out.
