What is the general story of these games? Just rando spaceships on inhabited asteroids?

Inhabited you say? ;) In part 1 an asteroid is on collision course and needs to be redirected, in part 2 a dog is kidnapped and has to be rescued

Samorost 1 plot: The gnome has to redirect the asteroid that is on a collision course with his asteroid. Samorost 2 plot: The gnome's dog gets kidnapped by 2 aliens who are trying to steal his berries. It was revealed that the alien boss is using the dog to power his ceiling fan. While returning home, his spaceship runs out of fuel so he and his dog were forced to land on a nearby asteroid. They find a sailboat with the captain sleeping, so they must wake him up in order to convince him to take them home.

My steam version seems to be broken, at 10:36 I can't click the back of the chair there and I just get sucked back up into the ceiling hole again. restarting the game fixed it
