Ingredients
Filling
4 medium size potatoes boiled peeled and roughly mashed this will make 2-1/2 cups of mashed potatoes
1/2 cup green peas boiled and drain, I am using frozen green peas
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tablespoon green chili
2 teaspoons coriander powder (dhania)
1/2 teaspoon red chili pepper
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon mango powder (amchur)
1-1/4 teaspoons salt, adjust to taste
2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro (hara dhania)
Crest
1 cup all-purpose flour (plain flour or Maida)
2 tablespoons fine sooji (semolina flour)
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons oil
Approximately 1/3 cup cold water
Also needed
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour (Maida or plain flour)
1/4 cup water
Oil to fry

Love your recipes, Aunty. It makes it so easy to follow. I can never follow directions the way my mom tells me over the phone because she doesn't have measurements and always goes by "andaaz". I don't have andaaz, so your videos are so very helpful.

You can Bake them, I have tried before, you do have to brush the oil both sides but they are never the same as fried.

I made these for a dinner party and they were a super hit enjoyed by everyone especially all the kids. I just omitted the chilli and shallow fried them which didn't impact the flavour too much. Thank you very much for sharing this and I look forward to more of your videos.

Wow, what a great idea, innovative, mouth watering, I am sure this recipe is going to be awesome, but I,m going to add little carom seeds & pure ghee to the maida than fry it as shown in a normal oil, I think it will give a little great smell of pure ghee and unique taste of carom seeds. What a great idea aunty! Quick question: will these become soggy when cool or will they have a crunch still? Will dipping in a cornstarch batter instead of the plain flour batter help retain crunch longer?
