I would buy a surron but a lil pricey and here in cucked europe I would need a plate and probably pay some form of insurance too... and at that point I would say fuck them fucking feudal lords. Would be fun to use it to get to work or an alternative to my bicycle for harsh terrain.

The great thing on the Sur Ron, it is so customizable with 72v battery, TORP/KO controller, KO motor, great suspension options, different wheel setup's and the list goes on. You can have fun with the stock bike, but you can change what ever you want and what ever type of riding you wanna do. Love it ! Great video as always ;-)

@@CrossWindsPat A fully decked out Sur Ron smokes everything production, though. My issue with the super fast, aftermarket specced Sur Ron is the fact that it doesn't have the best componentry, like forks, bars, brakes, etc., so you'd really need to replace all of that, too. All in all, you can make the Sur Ron far better than the Cake and still spend less, but if you truly want to ultimate e-bike, you're at least 15k into a Sur Ron.

great comparison. I own a surron and love the light, no clutch, maneuverability. I can tackle crazier stuff and feel way more comfortable on it than my 250 enduro bike. electric is a whole nother level. wont replace my gas just yet but still sooooo much fun.

However the cake just looks like a first shot prototype. Just spend a grand on a decent motor controller like a torp and the surron is on a new level... Plus there are seat height extenders, lower pegs and some (bmx style) riser bars and it even fits a 1.90m rider.

This is awesome. I was only just thinking the other day whether in the end is it better to get the Cake premade with a warranty etc or a Sur Ron and then upgrade every last part for thousands. Its not really a fair fight right now. You would need a modded Sur Ron at which point it would be more interesting. Litespeedbikes don't exist anymore btw.

The sur Ron is more eye appealing. And upgradeable. Smaller rear cog and mtb like. The Cake looks weird and box like the front end on the cake looks nice but again the rear cog is huge. The sur Ron to me is more appealing.

The choice is simple, the Sur Ron is E-bike money and you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck, the CAKE is £10,000 which you could buy an actual MX bike easily for which would totally kick its ass in every way. Let’s not forget the UK Laws as well with twist and go and E-bike top speed etc etc, both would have to be transported in a vehicle to somewhere you can ride it so you may as well just get the real version and buy a motorbike… plus for £10,000 I would not wanna be saying “yeah man the weekend was mental was out on the cake” it just sounds lame 😂

you can literally buy the suron and buy a new sprocket for bigger top speed and then you can buy a ecu and upgraded batterys for less than waht the cake costs..

@@mindedchaos Sure but then you need better suspension and a new motor as well as a new wheelset, jackshaft for when it fails. Upgrade to a 420 primary. How long would the Sur Ron last compared to the Cake even then. The stock motors burn out pretty fast when they get abused and you get no warranty. Guys in the end spend more than the Cake on their Sur Rons.

@@HighVoltageKits this is true. I own a cake and the motor is more comprable to the KO motor than the stock ron. suspension is way better also and the bike is just overall larger. Its not super beefy tho and if your on a budget probs not the best buy.

Back in the day my mate had a Suzuki 500 quad, I made a similar bar for it when he was learning to wheelie it, worked well and saved the backend. Thing was a BEAST and would rip your arms off, I raced 2 stroke MX at the time but that quad was something else, the 2 stroke sound was awesome. 🙂

Couple people i know have sur-ron bikes, definitely the better option for messing around council estates with almost no noise compared to normal pit bikes people fly about on. Thers a bigger wattage one now too im shure

Some good observations really... What I like about the Surron, and I'm a bit bias cuz I own one, is the poachability (my own word). In other words the ability of Surron to adapt to its environment with out raising eyebrows. If I tooling around at 20kmh down a foot path and come across a dog walker they are less likely to be put out by the sight of the Surron.

Careful of prolonged wheelies, the oil sits at the back of the sump the pickup doesn't always get enough. It's more a problem on the Raps, but seen these go pop too.

die SUR RON ist günstiger und kannst total günstig versichert werden. Bei der CAKE sieht es in Deutschland wohl schwierig aus mit 60km/h ist sie zu schnell oder viel zu langsam. Ich vermute sie würde wie eine 80ccm eingestuft. Immer wieder eine Freude Sam zu folgen, schön bekloppt, wie er ist 🙂
