I want this thingy magiggy and do my own music stuff. There's just one problem: it is REALLY EXPENSIVE

Look for the m8 headless, you can basically build the same thing with an anbernic and a teensy 4.1 and the total cost is less than 100€

This is like, Lo-fi House or something. I dig it. Great tips about putting loops into a larger context to figure out what the arrangement needs!

oo, lofi house feels pretty fitting 🤔 thank you, i’m glad it was helpful!!

That section, around 6 minutes in, where you were just starting to figure out what the ABCB melody should be reminded me of how every flautist first improvised in my woodwinds class haha I like the upbeat yet slightly moody vibe of the final piece!

I too sometimes get intrusive thoughts about my loan debt while playing with the M8. This was great!

Love how you casually throw in music theory into these. I'd be down for more of that, as I know next to nothing!

I just got to changing out the kick sample about 3 minutes in, aaahhh thank you that was really bugging me haha. Not sure if it was actually a key mismatch or just a timbral thing, but, either way!
@producedbychloerose6 ай бұрын
kick samples are awesome because they all sound exactly the same when you’re auditioning them and then somehow turn into the worst sound of all time in context

@producedbychloerose lol, doctors LOVE telling people that things will fix them! I hope they've at least left you feeling more bright eyed and bushy tailed. Remember: JFK and Jackie O used to get B-12 injections, and they were FAMOUS! 🙃

the M8 was actually inspired by the game boy and LSDJ, which is a homebrew cartridge for making chiptunes! the history behind handheld trackers is absolutely sick
