Idk if anyone has found this but Self Destruction has the Methods of Mayhem - industrial toolkit Vocobeat 36B 12-02 throughout the song. And that acid-ish loop in Lambda Core is Analoop 21. Also "Self Destruction" in the video is actually "Disrupted Original"

Need to clarify some of the samples (orchestral ones), like 1:42 and 2:02. Those are not originally from "In The Shadows", they are from Sound Ideas' orchestral music library called "Symphonic Adventure". (EDIT: Originally it was actually published by EastWest, and re-published by Sound Ideas for some reason.) This library was used in these HL1 tracks: Adrenaline Horror (beginning and middle) Apprehensive (strings) Bass String (strings) Nuclear Mission Jam (beginning) Scared Confused Short (strings) Military Precision (brass short hits and long notes, string hits) Dark Piano Short (a piece of the orchestral sample, also familiar to people from Quake 2 OST - Stealth Frag) Sharp Fear Short (a whole sample) I can do a video about these samples, since no one else ever found that out, AFAIK. Or maybe I haven't seen that.

I'd also like to thank you for putting these two videos together and finding all this stock music that Kelly Bailey used. I've known that Bailey had used some stock for years (even for sound effects like the metal impact in HL2) but there's been no real written record of samples used before these videos. Anything has been word of mouth over the internet. Listen to 'Jungle Drums' and then the Return the Slab clip from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

There's at least one you missed. The very first beat/thing heard in 'Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar' is most likely a sample. There's a channel on KZbin I've watched for years called Classic Game Room. A few minutes ago I started watching an earlier episode and at the end credits I could hear that part of Diabolical Adrenaline Guitar, and Classic Game Room has used stock music before.

This sample is heard in Methods of Mayhem - Industrial Toolkit. It is Analoop 21-04-04 in Loops/Analog/Analoops. The start is reversed, then is played forward for the rest of the track.

Military Precision's sample is incorrect. That actually comes from SCD 709 Dramatic Workshop 26 - Moodsetters, Links & Stings . What you're looking for is 149 Stab A. Midnight Watch most likely sampled off this.

Hey, just to ask, you found the sample in Jungle Drums yet? The drum loop prominent in it apears in some really obscure song called "Chasing the Sun" and in the Leftfield song "6/8 War". There's also the wierd woodwind sample throught the song that I'm pretty sure is used in Courage the Cowardly Dog when Ramses appears.

1:41 See, what confuses me about this sample specifically is that you can actually find the raw sample for this in EastWest's Symphonic Adventures library listed under "Full Orchestra FX", and by raw, I mean the horn stabs are completely isolated from that string element in your sample. I attempted to look up "In The Shadows" to see if I could compare release dates or something, but unsurprisingly, it didn't come up, so I have no idea who actually made this sample. Was it EastWest because they have the isolated horn stabs? Was it a collective effort between studios that was spread across multiple sample libraries? I have no idea. If you wanna look it up, you can find it by looking up EastWest's 25th Anniversary Collection. It's listed there along with several of their other old sample libraries.

0:30 That. THAT. I find it fascinating that people can recognize these things and find out what they are, for example Thomas Game Docs did a video on Zelda music that I highly recommend checking out. However, the reason why I was brought here is that I heard that exact beat sample, and I instantly knew what was going on. This is because I had heard it used in the Kevin MacLeod song "In a Heartbeat". That clearly meant that it wasn't something he made, because it's in the soundtrack and besides stealing it from HL1 would have been illegal, which isn't even that surprising because it's so specific. So I knew it was something else entirely, and all I had to do at this point is find out what, so here we are!

On the Adrenaline Horror there's this one sample i also heard on the Leech Zombie theme in Resident Evil Zero. While the sample starts early on that Resident Evil track, the sample in Half Life starts somewhere at 1 minute and 10 seconds.

@@HazardousPuma02 It's located in Analoops, in Methods of Mayhem, same as most of the other DAG samples. Loops/Analog/Analoops/Analoop 21-04-04. It's played in reverse for the first few measures, then plays normally for the rest of the time it can be heard.
