Can you sample from a turntable using this with IRig pads and an iPhone/iPad ? I bought this for my nephew for his birthday. He loves my mpc but I thought this would be a great place for him to start making beats on his own.

Technically, yes, this is possible. Check out SampleTank 4 and the SampleTank 4 Editor for a great way to design instruments to trigger with the iRig Pads. www.ikmultimedia.com/st4/

Each sound library pack will have an installer. If you've run the installer for each of those multiple files and still have this issue please open a ticket with IK Support at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/

pls. help me address my problem. i have sampletank 3 full version but it has a delay when i play instruments using external midi controller...my pc is HP ENVY 360 i7 with 2.7 ghz & 16 gig of ram and 256 ssd .

by the way i set buffer size to 576 because if i set to 512 there is crackle sound. do you think there is a problem with windows? and sampletank have a better performance in Macbook?

SampleTank 3 runs very well on Windows too. Please contact support per my previous message and they'll get things sorted.

sir why is it that when I layer the sounds on laptop it doesnt make any sound. what should I do to make them sound? even if I'm not using the mouse.

SampleTank 3 full or SE will import your legacy sound libraries. You do need to go through the import process as SampleTank 3 is a huge step up and completely new program.

I only see one of the eight sound installers. Where are the other seven for the complete sample tank 3 library? The only thing I've been able to install Is the sample tank free version. Where are these other 7 sound installers that contain the 33 gig worth of instruments?

In your IK User Area under My Products --> SampleTank 3 you should find the sound library installers in a dropdown list. If you do not see this, please alert IK Support at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ and they will assist you directly. Thank you.

In the settings window, I don't get the Audio/Midi tab. That tab says 'Remote'.

Please note that this is the standalone version of SampleTank 3. If you are using it as a plugin, you would not need the Audio/MIDI tab as any audio interface or MIDI controller settings would be performed by and in your host/DAW software.

vendetta pianist You use SampleTank 3 as a virtual instrument in GarageBand. There should be information in the GarageBand documentation on how to use virtual instruments if you are not familiar with how to do so.

Ive just downloaded sampletank 3 free. I have a question, are there meant to be more free instruments other than the defauolt piano? it was my understanding that you get quite a few instruments included but i can only see the one

Yes, there are additional sounds downloads in your IK User Area that you can download and install.

Yes, there are more free sounds. Please note that above it states you get them in your IK User Area www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/ You will see "My Products" and then under SampleTank Custom Shop "Sounds Downloads". Download, unzip, and run the installer and you will have many more sounds.

There are also sound library installers that you must download and install, also in the "My Products" section of your IK User Area.

If you are using the free version, you will have a limited amount of sounds. However, note that even with the free version there are multiple sound library installers for you to download and install.

Hey there. I recently bought SampleTank 3 (I think it was the one that just said SampleTank 3, and not the SE version, but I'm not sure if it's the full version tbh), and installed the Sound Content correctly. Even though I bought SampleTank 3, and it's 32 GB of instruments, I can only use like, a select few of them, as they seem to be under the "SampleTank 3 Free" library, even though I bought all these instruments to use. Did I install something wrong, or is there an extra step to this that I missed? I've been trying to figure this out for the last two days...

Hi, that sounds like you may have authorized using the SampleTank Free serial number. Please run Authorization Manager again and use the SampleTank 3 (full version) serial number that you can find in your IK User Area under "My Products"
