How did you get into making beats?

I started on Beatmaker 2 on an iphone, then a lil bit later I got beatmaker 3 on an ipad, then like a year later i got an mpc2000xl

For the bass did you just copy the sample and then filter it and boost the low end? Do you filter out the low end of the regular sample then so they play together smoothly?

For the first yeah, second no, there's no low end on the 2kxl so I couldn't anyways, but a lot of times the sample won't have the biggest low end so I'll layer them so that they're both playing at the same time. This one tho the bass was separate, I just filtered it for the bass sequence
