Not knocking A.I music as I think its amazing, however we have to realise that most human music has been pretty bland for over two decades, mainstream music appalling and most musicians not really taking any risks, being creative or pushing boundaries with the incredible DAW and synth technology at their disposal to anywhere near its limits, most of its been trap beats, repetitive chord progressions and the same stale synth sounds and sample packs and trying to sound like everyone else. The producers, musicians and the listeners have become too easily pleased and lazy, therefore the A.I we are now hearing is shocking us because it seems far more creative than most modern producers and has no end of ideas but perhaps this is where most musicians should be by now had they evolved beyond trap beat mentality? Maybe this technology will spur us on to move on musically and start creating something brand new and exciting and maybe listeners will start exploring a lot more and move away from pointless mainstream music and start appreciating other forms of music, including the appreciation of creative human musicians.

When I first heard about Udio my first thought was generating solo instrument samples to mess around with and remix, though unfortunately it's pretty hard to prompt it to create anything like a solo instrument or solo vocals. Good idea still to remix a full track of whatever it spits out lol

One way is to use the custom settings and use [ ] to specify what you want. For example [tuba solo]. Also works for [drum break] etc. Note that it can take a few tweaks and tries to get it right.

@@cocomagnusson cool, thanks for the tip! Honestly wishing Udio and similar services were geared more toward helping music producers creating isolated elements such as maybe a capella vocals etc rather than full tracks. But I'll play around with those suggestions.
