Dhithy means its 4 folds Pancha means 5 folds. 5 folds panchakacha it is used to puja or sandhavandam and homam. 4 folds used to general purpose.

Everything is fine but dhoti or panchakachha should be tied little above the Nabhi or navel. During pooja , archana or Yajna one cannot show the body parts below navel or upward the knees.
