I love Frederick Bachman‘s books. I read the Beartown series last year and it was one of my top reads of all time. It’s about What happens in a small hockey town when their most popular hockey player does something horrible. It’s so interesting and so good. I could not put it down. I had to finish it once I started reading.

Yes! Beartown is an absolutely fabulous series, such great characters, so many emotions and beautifully yet so realistic.

I loved Anxious People. Not all his books hit with me but my fav for January was The Answer is No. I want to read The One-thanks for the rec.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Onyx storm 🙌😆🖤⚡🐉 I already reread it and it's my top favorite read of the year so far! I'm obsessed with this series. I gave it 5 stars 🌟 I'm in a bit of a book slump because it's so hard to move on from such a good book but I did buy Variation by Rebecca Yarros and thinking of picking it up since it's sitting on my dresser...btw have you read that book by chance?? 🌞

I have read Variation- I didn’t personally love it, I gave it 3 stars. Hopefully you’ll like it more 🤞

I read Onyx Storm and gave it 3 Stars. It wasn’t the romance that bothered me, I really liked the romance actually, it was how disjointed everything else felt to me. I wanted answers from things in the other books, and instead I just have more questions. ☀️

Have you read any of Sandra Brown’s books? Some of her books are my all-time favorite books. Her audiobooks are awesome, especially if it’s narrated by Victor Slezak, or Stephen Lang. She Rights, romantic suspense, you always get a twist somewhere in the book. Give her newer books a try. My favorites are Seeing Red and Sting.

Since you liked Someday Someday you have to read Forever Right Now by Emma as well. I heard there’s crossovers of characters but Forever Right Now is amazing! I cried so much during it.

I think my favorite in January was Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. It is WW2 historical fiction. I think I liked her Between Shades of Grey better but it was still a really good book.

I also liked The One and Anxious People. I’m reading The Forest of Vanishing Stars by Kristin Harmel right now and love it! I think you would too if you haven’t read it yet. It’s WWII historical fiction, but so different than other WWII books I’ve read.
