I'm in shock that your Sam's is totally cashier less, simply using the app. Since that pretty much guarantees a renewal of your membership, since they automatically charge it to the card on file with the app. That also guarantees elderly people to be essentially eliminated as customers if they don't use their cell phones for purchases (like my parents, who have a membership). I'm glad you mentioned it so I can see when our store is probably headed, sorry just venting since no companies are thinking of the elderly. Other than that beautiful video and I enjoyed it! I totally understand the challenges that technology presents to our parents/ elderly. As I get up in age I remind my own kids to show me how to do something, don’t just do it for me. Same as I did for them as kiddos. We are always working to make sure our parents are safe online and can’t be scammed and also how to live in a world that is changing so fast on them. I can tell you they can absolutely take the cart up front and have someone scan for them and help them. I see employees helping every time I am there. I can also tell you it’s a nice simple app and very clear so that’s helpful too. Next time I go to Sam’s I’ll try to cover more up front and show how the process works. I’ll make a point to ask how they help those who don’t use the app or can’t. We have another older Sam’s club that has self checkouts and the ‘scan and go’ option. Keri did I hear you say there are no registers you check out with an app? Wow I have never heard or seen anything like that before, we don't have Sam's club in Canada. Nice pergolas and fair prices, that patio set was really nice. Loved the kiddo stuff, the playhouse was really good price. You're so lucky to have all this spring and summer stuff available already. I WANT that greenhouse!!!! It was fun watching :)

Isn’t the greenhouse amazing!!! I just want to move into it!! Yes, no registers!! Our store was destroyed by a tornado 2 years ago and this is brand new this past October. We use the app on our phone, scan the items, click pay before we walk out and as we walk out they have these huge scanners that quickly reads what’s in your cart and what you paid for. They do have people at the door to double check items if need be. It’s so easy!

This is a new store in Grapevine Texas. All of the stores are doing what is called ‘scan and go’. The older stores still have the self checkouts in addition. Thanks for watching!
