I've made a sphere with that technique with one difference which is that I used sugar and water mixture to soak string in. when you pop the balloon it sounds like breaking glass. But I absolutely love this and will be mmaking one of these! Plus it's a great idea for making Christmas gifts!! Only lamp I've made was a cloud lamp using LED lights with remote control inside a paper lantern then glued white stuffing from an old pillow all over the lantern. It looks very cool hanging in my grandsons room!

Use two or three pieces of iron wire while placing it in the bowl. Tear the gloves and plug in iron wires joining both hands. Once the cement sets, it ll b solid. Tested and works fine.
