I've had the Carbon 49 since 2012. Used it with both my iPad 2, at the time (works even better with my iPad 7th Gen), as well as with Acoustica Mixcraft in Windows.

make sure the velocity in your daw is high like mabe 104 or something

Soso Damana There are velocity curves on Samson Carbon keyboards...If I remember correctly, you press "Edit" then the black key that says "Velocity Curve" and rotate the data knob choosing between 4 velocity curves C1 to C4. C1 is the lowest and C4 is the highest velocity.

I start learning classical, is samson carbon fit for classical learning? I searching on internet for review and it say that when playing complex riff, its little bit hard to get the velocity right where I want them? and on it video look like he need pressing the key hardly/little hardly to get that sound

Anyone knows what is that sticky substance that is glued to the buttons and wheels of this keyboard and how it can be cleaned? I have tried to clean it but it seems that the more you rub it the more sticky it becomes, and worse, stuff from the cleanex or rag you use to clean it gets stuck on. It is very annoying that you push, let's say the octave up/down buttons, and your fingers get glued to them, I'm not kidding, it is what happens. Same with modulation and pitch bend wheels, they are sticky, like if they had glue on them. Honestly, this is ruining my experience with this keyboard.

I’m not very good at MIDI so be kind. How do I get this to communicate with a synth module? In this case a Roland JX-03 boutique. I can make it play the patches but all of my “hands on” such as changing any parameters is on the Roland and not the Samson. Is there a tutorial that could help me out? I hate DAW and just want to compose and record with hardware. Thanks to all who can help a fellow musician who hates computers😜

Try ubuntu studio. Worked flawlessly on my LMMS. I think there is also an available software on other OS

Hello Gron, it is a great solution it includes software and plugs directly in your computer. For the price the keys feel really natural. This keyboard is a excellent choice for begginers
