These old Samsung cameras are gems. They were loaded with features and were expensive back in the day. Now you can pick them up for cheap

I have the same story but my dad kept his and I've just inherited it. However I also bought a 145s slim zoom with the Schneider lense and the quality on that I've found to be amazing so of you come across one I recommend it!

There is a LCD screen on top right of the camera , which should show you the number of exposures you have left or how many you have taken.

The camera will wind the film automatically all the way back once you have shot the last frame.

Hi I'm pretty new to film photography and I just got this exact camera. Just curious, when looking into the viewfinder, is it supposed to project image from the lens? Cause I try blocking my lens with my hands, but looking into the viewfinder, I still still normally. Is mine faulty?

It is not supposed to mirror the lens image. If you look through, it is an ‘estimation’ of the projected image. You are looking through a thick plastic window, that’s quite it. Just like a disposable camera and most other point and shoots. Now, the view will be very similar framing to the final shot, but not exact. An interchangeable lens SLR camera like the Nikon f3 or Olympus OM-1 lens will have quite a different viewfinder. Through those, you are looking at an image being reflected through the mirror. A more complex set up. But those are the simple differences between these systems. I love point and shoots. But the mechanical function of an SLR is stark & timeless technology.

hey looking for help here, my camera keeps showing LP whenever I try to take a shot. Took 12 exposures in and this problem arrises. Thought LP meant low power but I have tried changing out the batteries and the problem is still recurring

hey! I have an AF zoom 1050 and I put in a new roll of film today but my display is flashing two symbols (1. it's indicting the opening to the film door Is open and 2: on the lower left corner there is a bulls eye symbol flashing as well) . have any idea why? didn't do anything differently and even put in new batteries

I believe this is indicating that the film is not loaded correctly. It took me a few attempts to get the film to load round the spool.

Hi Sam. I had this problem. The camera is quite tempramental when loading film. It took me a good few attempts and alot of fiddling to get it to load the film.

How to unload

The camera rewinds the film automatically at the end of the roll and there is a small switch on the the side of the camera to open the hatch.
