Samsung DA E750 Tube Amplifier so loud the camera distort

A little demonstration of the wireless speaker I got recently at at sale.
it is a demo product and I did not get all the stuff that are supposed to come with it but it does work without them anyway. hope you enjoy!

I am pretty sure the tubes in this amp is two ECC82 made by JJ. Pre-amp tubes like these generally last a long time. You can expect them to last several thousand hours unless they are very hard driven. I have not used this amp very much and never needed to change tubes in it so I am not able to give you a good estimate in this specific amp but I have had pretty good life out of JJ tubes I been using in my other full tube amplifiers :) but I been using it a couple of hundred hours at least

Uh, the tubes are in the preamp section. The amp is powered by conventional Transistors.

That is correct, this amp is a hybrid tube amplifier so it is not only the tubes alone that makes the sound but the amp is pretty much branded as a tube amp because it has the typical sound due to this, but I have full tube powered amplifiers that are pretty loud as well :)

Well it ain’t perfect but that music was about the best I could produce myself 6 years ago. I could play something better if I would play it today. The main rule with KZbin is, you need to own everything unless mister claims a lot comes and takes your video down. I did not really put any effort into that video in the first place since I just wanted to show some friends that I got that thing for 50 bucks. But it is playing darn loud anyway

How do you change the bulbs color? I got one with no remote stuck in that bass boost setting if you knew how to turn that off manually I would use this every day

The bulb color? I don’t have the remote for mine either. I bought it on a sale and it was the display unit and they had lost the remote sadly and mine is in the non bass boost mode. I have unfortunately not find a way to toggle the bass boost with anything else than the remote as it seems when I read about it. The only way I can think of is if you could find a reset button and make it factory again if it has one. I kinda don’t use mine anymore since I have built full tube amps which plays much better than this actually. If you can’t solve yours let me know and I can have a look at mine if I can figure something out on it

Hello. I have this device. Now it lose power in the max level of sound , and the bass is very strong. So, the sound quality at this moment is very bad. Any idea of why this Could be happening. Thank u a lot.

Hi there! There could be various things happening here. I would first check how the sub is configured, this is only possible with the remote which I don’t have so I’m unlucky there. If the sub is set too high it could be unbalanced sound. Second thing might be if everything else is configured as when it sounded good your tubes might start to be worn eventually, it depends how much you been using it. The tubes should last at least a few thousand hours. Third might be related to other hardware problems or that the audio input is wrong. Forth is that you play above the nominal maximum volume

+ciro589m there are kinda many vintage things in the background here lol. I list them for you: Brown boxed speakers are Luxor TYP 14015411 SER1. there are the vinyl receiver unit Luxor Dirigent 2000. there are one Luxor Radio Model R12 from 1950. and one High voltage speaker Philips AD3700AM. I have more stuff around not seen in this video.

superbug1977 the tubes can most likely be changed but it is not intended to be done by the consumer according to Samsung all kinds of service should be done by a Samsung service center. However can likely a handy person do this anyway and the tubes in this unit are two ECC82 ( the tubes they insert in my unit is made by JJ which is very easy to come by tube for a cheap price) I tried to get an answer for this part as I am not sure what will happen if the filament or other part of a tube would fail if the amp will go in a kind of service mode and shut down and demand service tools to get going again or if it would just reset and start work again with new tubes inserted automatically so this is unknown for me. But just swap tubes in time before they die would likely work without any trouble. ECC82 tubes has a pretty long life span so mostly the sound will start to sound weaker or grainy before they actually burn out so if the sound gets degraded on mine i gonna change them in time to be sure I don't get problems

I see. Mine is the DA E751. I'm not sure what the differences are between the 750 and the 751, but it sure sounds good. Mine was also a display at one point but it cleaned up quite nicely. I have always wanted to experiment with different tubes. In some ways the thing would be improved if the tube sockets could be raised or an extension could be fitted into the area allowing for experimentation with different tubes.

I think most of the difference are minor, yours likely has a Micro-USB on the dock and stuff also and mine even if it should have both only has a 30-Pin Iphone contact on the docking station but they are pretty much the same as far as I know but something must be different I think, they sound great for the size actually. and to be true I also got a display unit I bought when the store was gonna close down to be rebuilt and had a total sale and I got it for a real bargain but is missing the controller but it is a minor setback. these amps are using tubes but it is not a true full tube amplifier either but it is a Hybrid type with a pre-amp stage using tubes so it gets very close in the way they sound anyway but gives more power and cost less so it can be great anyway. you will change the way it sounds if you would use different tubes such as the pre amplifier affects all sound. you have two ECC82 tube in your most likely and they are pretty good tubes in my opinion as they have pretty good bass and balanced mid range and a gentle pretty airy high range sound that works with most types of music, you could for example insert the pin compatible 12AT7 as a direct substitute for the ECC82 and they would change the sound pretty much but have in mind these have a huge higher gain factor and it could lead to unwanted results to your amplifier, the ECC82 has a gain factor of like 17 while the 12AT7 has a factor of about 55, the compatible ECC83 has a factor of 100 and sounds pretty much the same as the 82. 12AT7 is pretty much the same tube as ECC81 in general and it lacks more bass than the 82 tube but has more sound in the higher range instead and sounds a bit sharper and crisp here if compared but still has a pretty nice mid range and is still a very liked tube for audio but I can't tell what you would like with it and how this would behave in the Samsung, I have built my own full tube amplifier and have tested many combinations of tubes in this one and all the mentioned tubes works in the same socket on this amp of mine and I can just swap them to get the desired sound very easy here and the only thing that changes for me is the volume knob position for the same output volume due to the different gain on the various tubes but I built it to be tolerate to this and also have a high gain mode switch I can use to make the gain greatly boosted for use as a gramophone amplifier and such, I have videos on that amp too here on this channel if you want to have a closer look at it but it is changed now to make it even better now and I have no video on that yet but it is a very experimental friendly amp and has incredible sound quality and strength for it's design actually
