If you have same Earphone, then probably your problem is near mic section, you can test your Earphone by twisting wires from corner with playing music in your smartphone and check any response getting in speaker who is not working, if you find the problem then try to repair. Sorry for the language, i don't know enough English, i can chat only, so if you can repair it yourself, i can help you

I already know the problem is on the cable between the earphone and the handsfree controler, so i suffer very much to open it!, my heat pistol (i dont know the right name) just died!, so, i have to do it old school way, open it by brute force (the microphone button finish horrible), join the cables with insulating tape, close again the controller with cianocrylate glue, etc. Your video take me right to the problem, thank you. I should replace pistol, it just stop working when I connected it.

Hello I just watched this video after realizing that my right ear bud no longer works however when I twisted it a certain way near the microphone I managed to get a certain sound so I assume its the same problem source as you showed in the video but I have some questions 1. Why didnt you remove the old solder and simply heated it with the solder iron to remove the wires, is it not necessary? 2. What exactly is color code for each wire for the board 3. Do I really have to tie a knot before soldering the ear buds back? 4. Why did you tapped the newly cut wires/ the ones where you removed the coating from with the solder iron?

1. Removing Old solder not necessary.(if too much solder on soldring point then u can remove it) 2. Red and golden in right spk and Green and golden left speaker 3. Yes knot is necessary otherwise ur wire is pull out Ur 4th question i didn't understand?

How come when you remove the rubbing coating to reveal the new wire you tapped your soldering iron on it i.e. something similar to tinning minus adding soldering lead before doing it?

I just deep inside hot solder for 5-10 sec, iron heat will remove non conductive coating on wire and a layer of solder also on it. in this case u don't need to burn and scratch wire.
