Yes, basically: S7 - 24% of 3600 = 864 S8 - 19% of 3500 = 665 A5 - 21% of 3000 = 630 But - 1.how long they will charge to 100%? and 2. how long they will last with fully charged battery?

Is your fast charging on in your S8+? Mine charges a wee bit faster than my S7 Edge (which is only natural since it is a tiny bit smaller than the battery of the S7 Edge)

Aurora Spiral I think it should be fine. I'm using my s7 edge for more than a year now and uses fast charging since then. I would say still alright. The battery itself is really made for fast charging and if you use just normal charger I would say it's not going to affect the battery by any chance.

Interestingly there is an option within the Galaxy A5 to disable fast charging, so even the fast charger ac that comes with the unit will act as a slow charge. I wonder why they would have this option if fast charging had no long term effects on battery life. I thought heat and overall stress to the battery may be detrimental, but have read one report saying fast charging may even lengthen battery longevity.

Aurora Spiral hey yeah you are correct ive read about it as well somewhere. Apparently it's because the battery is made to accept quick flow of electricity so once it slow down the battery don't function well.

I turned off fast charging on my 2017 A5. Read websites saying the heat can kill batterys, and my phone tells me the fast charging may heat up the phone. Plus I have a case on it which doesn't help. Also look up best charging practices for lithion ion batteries and they will most likely tell you the 20%-80% rule. Fully charging stresses the battery and its better to keep you charging in small top offs.
