Claude M nope. they'll force them cause it's not a software update like marshmallow to nougat. it's the firmware so they can do security patches whenever they deem necessary to whatever they need them to do because they do own the software. sucks right?

The really really good news is, the Note 8 will not be having a single battery issue. Not sure what issues the phone will have, if any at all, but I can tell you this, it won't be with the battery. They'll be putting in extreme overtime to make sure that battery is perfect after this shit. So at least that's good news. I have an iphone 7 plus, and I think I might be picking me up a Note 8 myself.

Yeah man, no biggie to hold onto the Note 4 for another 6 months. Still a good phone, but what a downgrade in speed it is. Oh well.

I'm not giving a like when you say no more discussion. We need to discuss this because it's BS to force people to turn in the phone or to brick it. My space heater is dangerous, as is my toaster, as is my car ... we should have been able to sign a waiver that if anything were to happen, it's on the user. End of story.

BTCKYLE I've got mine back up to 100% and the updates to stop with help from the alliance. I'm not giving in on this. I love this phone.
