This was excellent. I've been looking for a basic tutorial - and believe me, I didn't think it was too basic. I was very disappointed at the end though, something happened to the content and I never learned how to make a call or text a message. As soon as I let all this sink in, I'll watch the next video and maybe you will touch on those two items. Most videos take it for granted that you know the basics already - I did not so thank you sooooooooo much!!!!

Finally taking the plunge after having pay as you go cell phones for the past 20+ years. I have one question: Is Microsoft on this? I do have a sign-in & password for my outlook email account. I would not use this phone for much more than for "emergencies" if I am away from my landline (yes I said landline 🤣 - old school). I did my research and went with Tello as my carrier (uses T-Mobile networks same as my cellphone). It was a refurbished unit bought thru Tello and I am awaiting its arrival. This video of yours is all I needed to get on board. I do have a Samsung Galaxy tablet which I only use for Skyping with my guy.

Hope you can help I just got this phone as a replacement phone, for my iPhone I have this Samsung my problem is I can only answer the phone by pressing a button on the side of the phone OR I have to have the Assistant Menu Active which I hate BUT with this feature active, I can now press the green phone to answer my incoming call If I deactivate Assistant Menu I cannot press the green phone icon to answer my call, I press the phone, it lits up then goes off with each touch. How can I set the green phone to accept incoming calls?

Thanks for the basics run through, not everyone is smartphone savvy, and I was coming from a Windows phone which was pretty intuitive vs. ice cream sandwich. My question is for the camera - it doesnt seem to focus to well especaily in ambeint indoor room or if it is zoomed in more then 1x. I the camera a weak point on this unit? Are there any suggested better phone apps to control the camera? I cant complain too much as A02s only cost me $29- due to a 3G LTE > 4G necessary upgrade, but it seems worse than my 5 year old Nokia Lumia. Thank TME ! - Sandy

I'm also very disappointed with the camera on this phone! I just switched from my 4G LG VOLT, which takes amazing pics. So I've been using the LG to take pics and then sending them to my Galaxy via FB Messanger. Kinda a pain, but it works!😊

So I need a memory card? How much memory do I need? Does a memory card come with it or do I have to buy one? Do the basic games like solitaire or mahjong use data or no? This is very helpful information. I just got this phone.

The memory card (aka MicroSD card) is optional, but is recommended if you have digital copies of movies, music, and/or pictures to store and play on your phone. Otherwise internal storage should be enough if you only use your phone just for calling and texting.

Why did you forget what you were going to explain? You got lost in the bells and whistles and forgot to do phone calls and messages. My wife was very disappointed not to learn what she needed which were make and answer a phone call, and read and listen to messages. You lost most of the end of your tutorial to your ads.

Was previewing video for use to help new to smartphone older adults. Great except for biggest concern to them, how to make a call. You do reference people saying this and you wanted to make sure added. Problem is info to like & subscribe pops up and blurs screen before task completed. Worst part is video ends mid sentence and prior to you sending call. Nothing about ending call or answering a call. Yes, for majority of population this is very minor. But if you’ve only used flip phones kinda big deal. Going to recommend them watching (and re-watching for reference) because smartphone portion is informative and easy to follow. Will just have to explain how to use as an actual phone.

My facial recognition isn't working. I still have to enter my pin every time to get into my phone. I HATE it. I also don't have a flashlight shortcut when I swipe down, or a power off button. I hate this phone. Give me my old flip phone back and I'll be a happy. This is way too complicated.

I was looking for a thorough beginner tutorial video for my 90-year-old mom. This started fine, but it cuts off before he finishes talking about making calls, never gets to texts (even though the narrator says he is going to cover them), and doesn't cover voice mail or taking a picture. Plus I'm sure she would have trouble navigating out of all the ads.

Redux: there are real "beginners" out there who have never used a smartphone. Never. If in surgery we started with "first get a scalpel"...well.So how about some real K.I.S.S. stuff. Such as: how do get the "keyboard" up on the screen ? How to setup the (smart) phone to a home wi-fi when one is unable to "type" on a tiny weenie screen ? Simple, huh ? Long ago in OCS, my DI said: " when you assume, you make and ass out of u and me". Not so stupid. So how about a real out of the box novice tutorial ? Slow and simple.
