The AKG ones were kinda decent but the one found with phones like the A51 and others are straight up unusable. I would much rather get a case and screen protector in the box like Xiaomi does than to get some cheap earbuds

For me, I'm 100% in on headphone jacks 💪 I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile or an audio snob, but I use good headphones. There are ZERO products on earth that are both wireless and sound this good 🤷 ..ALSO..given the size of phones nowadays, and seeing the insides of them thx to many youtube videos, I know with certainty there's space inside most of our phones to place a headphone jack. I also know the costs of the jacks themselves.. Which is about a dollar on the high end and MUCH cheaper for those who can buy at scale like cell phone companies. I can find em for 10 cents online soooooo Apple & Samsung can definitely swing it.

If I’m being completely honest. Unless it has a built in DAC that can handle serious audiophile headphones, wireless ones will work the same. Literally an audiophile here who runs not only Mezas, Sennheissers and og AKGs, but also I’ve had a few wireless. My Old S4 handled wireless and wired the same.

Id still take a wire over wireless though, even without the fancy DAC and headphones.. It's faster to untangle a tangled cord than to charge aything with a dead battery 💪

I love the headphone jack. Because companies took it out for NO REASON. Without a headphone hack I have to always have my wireless earphone/headphones charged, and I can't listen and charge at the same time. Bless you floss for still representing the headphone jack. These newer phones are losing headphone jacks, micro SD card slots, ir blasters, no charger in the box, no dongle. So less features then the phones of yesteryears yet they be asking for more money.

The mediatek chip is a pretty smart setup with two quite powerful 2.2ghz A76 cores, meaning lots of everyday tasks will be quick, however heavier tasks will be slow.

Floss I work for att man we on the same train with this phone! I tell people who can't qualify for a 1000 dollar phone to get this one cause it's actually a badass budget phone. The A12 struggled every time I set them up for folks when turning them on for the first time. The A13 on the other hand is snappy even during the transfer process. Great phone for the price 👌🏼

For me headphone jack is important, because, i had bought Bluetooth headphones,and they stop working after 1 year, I'm not that heavy user but still those stopped working, but my 3 years old wired headphones still working like a charm.... Now I'm using them ......

I would recommend the a13 non 5g version because it has ultra wide angle and the camera overall is pretty decent. I'm testing this phone right now and for around £130 here in the UK you can't complain. Great review as always my friend 👍

What's crazy to me is that they have the nice new camera design with the budget device. I personally don't love the giant stove tops that we have on a lot of devices. Much prefer the way the cameras on this look.

@Flossy Carter I just bought the A13 5G for my teen boy. Purchased the AT&T Prepaid model from Walmart for $199! Save $50. I think the Cricket Wireless and other prepaid carrier versions were even less at $179.00 !!! But for a "Factory Unlocked" version direct from Samsung, they will be $249 w/o a trade-in.

@flossy Carter Sd card slot and head phone jack is still necessary today. Storaging videos, pics, and movies. Transferring everything every year is annoying. Driving a classic car with no Bluetooth audio jack is a must Bluetooth audio doesn't sound well.

It doesn't bother me much on the headphone jack anymore. Keep in mind everyone would prefer have it still. There are budget wireless buds. But they sound like budget quality at best. I have the galaxy live buds and they sound amazing. Use them for s20fe and Nintendo switch. Yea they have put a charger in the box. Especially if it's type c to type c.

Best budget phone is actually buying a old flagship from 1 to 3 years ago that easily smoke the cheeks of any mid range/budget phone from today. That $250 will get you a brand new, unlocked LG v60 which does have those missing features and a whole lot more.

the Dimensity 700 chip in this phone is essentially the same as the SD730g or the SD765, which is good but those chips came out like 2 or 3 years ago but definitely enough power for at least a couple of years which you can't say for the Exynos 850 which is in the 4G version

Thanks, Floss. Just got a Boost locked one for $80 with a month of service. Works exactly as you demonstrate 💯Outperfoms my four year old Honor 8x with ease so it feels like an upgrade but for the display. Which isn't terrible, really. Side by side with my old phone it is brighter, at least. Sound is better, too. Decent build quality for what it is, works just as you show it.

I tried playing some lol wild rift and get quite smooth performance with low settings. It usually lasts for 4-5 days when I don 't game which is really good. Best thing is I got it for 120$ and a free 4g sim card.

I've used this phone, it's very snappy for what it is I was impressed. my only complaint is that the lcd screen panel isn't good. I've seen brighter and better colored lcds on other budget phones.

If you enlarge the display or text size it would be fine for indoor use, with the phones mediocre brightness outdoor use in sunlight wouldn't be great though it depends if your mom uses her phone outdoors a lot or not.

On another note couple days ago, I just got the recent one that just came out. It’s the Samsung galaxy A14 5g with T-Mobile and I’m gonna review it here in five days. I got the phone for free because I added another line. With T-Mobile and I got the phone for free otherwise I would’ve been 200 bucks for the phone but I’m happy I didn’t have to spend it. Also I had to get a charger for it. You know the wall box?? Lol but it’s the Samsung 25 watt fast charger. I had to buy that one with the case and screen protector. Haha another cherry on top is I got a galaxy watch 5 for free. I just had to pay the taxes and fees on it because it was one of those promotional items but to me, it was well worth it. It’s pretty much similar to the galaxy a13 but with some other features, and it’s running android 13, but my favorite part about the phone is the back of the phone. It’s not that nice texture to it It definitely feels nice but honestly, I was going to ask if we could do a review on this phone as well I would love to see the video for it, but get back to me, man!!! But great video by the way, bro!!!!
