Samsung Galaxy A14 5G in 2024 - (Still Worth It?)

I bought an A14 5G about a year ago. I've been really impressed with it, and I still think it's fantastic for my current and future needs. I agree it's a solid and practical 'phone, as long as you don't have any specialised purpose for it, like playing hardware demanding games, or wanting extra super-duper quality photos or videos. In other words, a strong performer for general, non-specialist use. If I had to choose between the A15 5G and the A14 5G, and the prices were similar, of course I would buy the A15 5G. But if the A14 5G was selling for a big enough discount, I don't think I would lose much practical usefulness by buying the A14 5G.

The trend of removing the wall adapter is really dumb and annoying, I don't know about others but I'd need to spend more just for that shit. My current phone is the 1st gen iphone se and these companies assuming we all buy one phone a year and has spare wall adapter laying around.

@@LoganHester-1489 I am clumsy with all of my phones so if I can't buy at least a low-grade OtterBox like case for it then I don't want the phone because there's too much likelihood of me dropping it on the ground and ruining it shortly after purchasing it. I'm not looking to lose out on a new phone just because I was too cheap to buy a case for it. Especially knowing what I'm like with my phones

I mainly DD. Not sure if it's the app or the phone but it takes forever to load the app, often hanging. I have to clear the cache and/or force close the app way too much. I honestly feel it's the phone & has cost me several orders when the app goes into a freeze state.

My son gave me a 14, but I never received a booklet. I use a lot of pics and some videos. But I see you can't put it sideways or get a full picture. This is what I see on this video, haven't tried mine yet. Gmail, FB, Google, messenger, Instagram? Cash app, pics and videos, phone and text. I don't do games. But just 64gb and no full pics and videos? I have a Galaxy J7. Maybe I should stick with that til I can afford better .?

I added a 256 GB SD card for $34, an excellent Speedy Sandisk Extreme. No storage woes at all. Even a Sandisk Type I 128GB is about $14 so space it's not an issue al all.

A14 with e1330 is still worth it because a16 use same chipset as a14.

Not for me. I have a Moto G100 and want to switch to Samsung for the OS updates, but I want to get one with at least the same specs like a CPU at or better then a SD870, 8/128GB RAM/ROM, a micro SD slot and maybe a 3.5mm jack.

S23 FE. I You opt for a top Phone, no one has SD option. Even middle Phones now lack them, as well as jacks.

I can't understand why someone wouldn't want an sd option...its annoying if you run out of space and have to buy another phone because of it, they are getting rid of sd cards Because they want people to have to pay subscriptions to clouds, who is dumb enough to pay for cloud subscriptions instead of just pay like 30 bucks for sd card storage? also sd is awesome if you want storage movies and stuff for use off grid ... heaps more reasons too...

@@clareellis4906 the reason is simple 1) People that can Buy a top end phone can pay for more storage within the device. With an expensive phone you simply pay for the space since there is no add option purposely. Thats the Apple modelo, they cash everything. 2) No storage card can Match the speed of the expensive model's memory for Transfer, and they become a bottleneck for the device. 3) Companies know that ppl that Buy budget phones have difficult to pay lots of storage, so they add the SD option since the memory of the budget device will be a lot slower, and transfer speed will be less of an issue for budget phone owners. I never purchase a phone without SD option, but we are running out of options, Even the cheaper phones won't include Even their cheaper Chargers. All is about Money.

Good! i just received an almost new Phone with a bundled (unexpected) new Belkin 30 watts multi fast charge adapter for $79 with only 17 charge cycles on it's battery. The adapter alone is $25-30 new. For those prices they can't be beat.

I upgraded from Samsung a13 5G I upgraded to Samsung a14 5G And honestly I loved it it's more brighter more crisp with a higher resolution compared to 720 p on the 13 Only downside I didn't like about the 14 was that it sometimes laggs but it's not very noticeable And the RAM uses considerably a lot more than the ram on the 13 I was gonna upgrade to the 15 5G but then I realized that it's basically all the same With no really big Improvement so I never upgraded to the 15 5G

​@@mike.4277Go Motorola only if one doesn't care about operating system security updates past 2-3 years. Even if you don't plan to keep the phone past that, lack of longer support affects resale value and also contribute to even more environmental waste by prematurely retiring an otherwise still decent device.
