I had the stylo 4, stopped working and got the A20, 14 days later the screen stops being responsive when swapping left and right or clicking links.... also when trying to turn up or down the brightness. The audio while using the phone is not as loud as the Stylo4 both when on a call or if you listen to music on it. I am thinking of getting it exchanged or getting the Stylo 5. If you're used to the stylo 4, you will miss that wide feel when you use the a20, I feel like its too skinny. BUT I am hearing bad reviews on the Stylo 5 so I am torn on what to do next. But as for me a20 has not been that great.

The screen is trash though. Look at the corners around edges and camera bump. Not only is it 720p. It's very pixilated. Can tell VERY EASILY. I have both devices.

The screen is a lil pixelated, but its amoled panel is beautiful for 138$, it lags a bit at times, but standard to high graphics games its playable and enjoyable. I done had many phones cuz I sell them or trade them, so I feel u but, The price is right, awe yeah the fingerprint sensor is garbage most definitely, I use the pin to look over that

I purchased my stylo 5 for $150 at cricket, I have it in the blonde pink color and i think it's a nice color most people would rather choose a different color but i actually really like the pink one. Oh and by the way Kevin please make a short update to your video on how people CANNOT use the cases from the 4 for the 5 due to the slight size difference , i tried it and almost broke my phone plus the stylus slot is different.

I used to think that the stylus was the killer feature of both the Stylo and the Note. I've changed my tune on that, though. I don't think the stylus really justifies picking one phone over the other. You can always get a stylus separately if you want one.

Overall I'd say A20, I've had both now and the Stylo has 3 MAJOR problems. 1. Slow and gets slower with time 2. Little space and limited SD card functionality 3. Lower specs in general, and it's noticeable

Loved the comparison, hated the wobbling of the phones up and down from the camera. If you are going to lift them, just lift and hold. Don't wobble up and down. Some people (perhaps a lot) have brain issues and tiny seizures with move ent like that. That stops them from being able to watch. For half, I personally had to strictly listen, not look because it was making me seasick. I'm not trying to pick, simply to give more people the opportunity to watch. How is METRO BY TMOBILE? I'm currently with Verizon Wireless and am looking to switch to Metro by Tmobile. However, I'm concerned with the service, connection, and whether it's a single or dual channel. Had the Stylo 4 for less than a year and a half. Started randomly losing GPS when using Waze.Looking around the web, it seem to be a common problem. I Can't have that, and not sure the 5 would be any better. Have the the A20 on the way from Boost Mobile. Hope it does a better job.

@Kevin Breeze just to note, on the speed test you are hitting the button on the Samsung phone before the LG phone. I noticed it on regular speed but just to be sure I played it again on the slowest speed settings and my thoughts were confirmed. However I don't believe that you're doing it on purpose. But the first to speed test for sure is at least a tie or the LG slightly ahead. I wish I could show a screenshot because you would clearly see your fingers down on the Samsung phone first. I work at cricket and I’m not a big LG stylo fan, the phone just feels cheap and the specs aren’t very impressive for its class. Samsung simply makes better phones. Many customers have Lg problems as well, I never get complaints with Samsung’s.

Which phone on Cricket's free phone deal they have going would you recommend? Right now I'm thinking either the Nokia 3.1 Plus or the Moto G7 Supra. But honestly not sure. Would love to hear your opinion since you work there!

Andrew Capriotti The g7 Supra is my personal favorite! The Nokia is nice but I’ve heard from a Nokia representative that the battery takes a couple months to get accustomed to the users usage (didn’t really understand what that meant)...My favorite G7 feature is how clean and simple the software is, another big selling point is the long lasting battery. Go with the Motorola👍🏼

Well getting a used s8 is pretty dangerous because people may say it has some scratches but it may be damaged really bad and a new glass or display are really expensive The a20 is a good budget phone that does it's job You can play games that some of them are really hard to run but on the a20 they run pretty smooth It has good screen res and camera mbp so it is a good phone too I say that they are both good. Now you need to decide =/

Sorry that was worded terribly the a50 is is 259$ (us currency for all of this) the Stylo 5 is 229$ the a20 is 159$ of course it should have lost considering this price difference of the two, but putting 2 similarly priced phones next to each other is considered direct competition for the price point aka best budget phone

Great reviews Kevin. Would like to see Samsung Galaxy A20 vs Pixel 3a. I'm trying to decide between those two. My impressions. The A20 has the better battery and is cheaper while the 3a has a better camera with image stabilization plus a stronger processor. One complaint I've read about on the A20 is that it is not rugged, doesn't take drops well. The unlocked, cheaper version of the A20 has a lower spec processor than the US version. Wonder what the other differences are. Thanks.

Thank you. I held out for LG when I upgraded to stylo4, but I hated the stylus placement being moved to the bottom. I can't say how many times the stylus fell out on its own and had to be replaced. And truth be told, I hardly ever used it, since the more I pulled it out, the looser it became, falling out even while in my purse. A20 CONS: I previously splurged on wireless Beats earbuds, and they aren't compatible with Samsung. :( The only other fault I have found is the same software issue you expressed, I wish it was closer to basic Android. Some annoying stuff I will never use, and there are apps I used on the LG that aren't available, like my grade tracker for college. I'm still using the stylo4 for that one, since I need it daily.

I love Samsung phones. I had the note 5 and looooooved the fuck out of it. Year's later I got the style 4 and loved it. Then the Samsung a20. The Samsung phone is great if you love the galaxy brand like I do. BUT, I can't afford a new galaxy note phone and I miss the note-like features. So I got the style 5 which is basically the same as the 4 and reminds me of my note 5. I've gotten bored with my Samsung a20 and since I can't afford a new note, the stylo 5 wins for me.

I have both devices and I must say the samsung a20 is the better buy. You can't move apps to the sd card on the lg stylo 5. Also you don't get a lot space for your apps because of the bloatware and stuff that's on the phone.
