My new screen works when i test it (using a screwdriver to contact/conduct the two small parts on the motherboard beside the battery cable socket) however, is it possible to actually turn the phone on & then operate it this way? (I can only see the battery percentage, I need to 'long press' the power button somehow and am unsure how to do this while everything is disassembled. I'd like to backup my data encase I mess something up before continuing the process. My reason being I mistakenly purchased the screen AND housing frame which makes the repair more involved. I'm just afraid I'll ruin something when transferring the components into the new frame.

i replaced the screen myself today and i am very proud of myself! its just that.. i already broke the new screen by trying to remove it from the frame but at least i done it myself and the screen still works! was stupid enough to use a metal prier instead of a plastic one which caused it to break

roughly $75 if you buy the screen..... if you carry it to a repair store then they probably charge a fee to do it for you along with the price of the screen if they provided it

@@ibraheemshaqqou7043 Well You can try ordering it on Amazon but it might take a week to arrive depending on where you live. I have chosen to fix my phone at a repair shop. It costs more but at least they do it one time and you actually get back your phone then and there.

The fingerprint functionality won't work with any 3rd party screen which is clearly written in the description of most 3rd party screens out there.

The phone does not turn on after the screen is broken, it just vibrates when connected to the charger, without making any sound, do you think it just needs to replace the screen?. There is no take off Tanks

Yes. Might require a factory reset or an update if it doesn't work immediately. I reviewed a Samsung A51 5G that I replaced the screen on and it worked fine.
