I think A72 is much better if you need bigger battery and bigger screen just like me and my grandma (who is these days have been staying at home long due to quarantines) and if you want faster charger that comes with the device I think A72 is the better option. Here in the Philippines though A72 is the only phone with 4 complete colour variety. I was supposed to get my grandma an A52 but here it didn't come on Awesome Violet colour option... Just Awesome Black, White & Blue (which honestly I do not prefer cuz it looks like a local brand of a detergent soap here in the Philippines. LOL! #onlyfilipinoscanrelate) whilst A72 has all 4 colours. And as for me who is using a 60Hz phone (Note10+) and a 120Hz tab (Tab S7+) I think 90Hz is a safe zone for good refresh rate while optimizing battery capacity/life. So as much as I love to agree with you guys but for me the crown goes to A72 and for me it won by a hair.

That's a very good comparison,brilliant work Wade. Although I think the A72 clicks more sharper images than the A52 and that is noticeable on those front camera samples but yes it really makes more sense to go for the A52. If telephoto lense is someone's priority, then you should go for the S20FE.

Get the A52 as it has the best price performance ratio and has almost all features from A72. Everyday users who simply wishes a good new working phone at a good price will clearly appreciate A52. A72 is also good but the price and feature gap to A52 can't really justify its higher price. This seems to follow the same pattern on how last year's A51 is a much bigger sale success: packed feature at a lower price. And also, if you really want that zoom lens, S20 FE is a very solid option. Price has gone down and you can even find one brand new cheaper than A72.

If I have to choose between A52 and A72 I'm certainly going for A72 (though still waiting for a 5G version of it) for me and my grandma cuz apart from it's the biggest phone at the A series lineup it has all the bells and whistles of being a premium midrange phone. And since it's the only one here in the Philippines that came out with the Awesome Violet colour (which my grandma seems to like) and since I don't want a smaller phone and since 5G here in the Philippines is still not a big deal then I think A72 is the best all rounder smartphone with no compromise apart from the fact that it isn't 5G ready and it's a hair shorter than the 120Hz of the A52 5G which is totally not a bad thing. And since I have a Tab S7+ running 120Hz on a 12.4" screen I find no need to have a phone with 120Hz refresh rate on a smaller screen and that 90Hz should be good enough on a phone for smooth experience and optimal battery life. And lastly since A72 has the 25W charger out of the box I think that's one of the main reason why I am picking it over A52 5G vuz they're basically same priced but seems to me that they didn't cut much corners on A72 including its in box accessories.

Other than processor I don't find much difference between A32 vs A52 or A72! Basic tasks are smooth on A32. I am using this now. If you want mobile for gaming better go for A52or A72 or any other... But for day to day usage A32 ( great phone) will save some bucks!

Hello. I think A72 has a diffrence in telephoto camera that has ois (stabilization) and the battery is a plus, only if A72 was 5G only then I would say that it worths buying it

My term ends in a little under a year, so I'll probably go with the A72 if I go with Samsung. By that point both devices will be very affordable as the Ax3 series will be around the corner, I am a junkie for large screens and batteries, even if just slightly larger, I like the idea of a telephoto camera, and the screen colour looks significantly more accurate on the 72 compared to the 52, at least in this video. With LG out of the running and Pixel phones being arguably overpriced, the only other brand I could fathom getting is Motorola/Lenovo. That, or if Apple finally makes large screen phones affordable compared to these Android devices.

I switched from S8 to A72 a few days ago. The battery is much better, but the old one was crap, and the performance is better. Camera is amazing and new android has a lot of great features. Screen is smooth and it feels and looks great. A72 is much larger and heavier and I don't like that. Also it is thicker and not as round as the S8. All in all I like it, it's a good upgrade and I would reccomend you upgrade.

I started my own comparison between the a52,a72 and the S20FE. the S20FE isn't any better than the a52 and a72 if you include price. the other thing is that I like a audio port for my ear buds, because i'm not a fan of wireless ear buds, headphones just fit better wireless. until now I was struggling to make a choice between the a52 and a72, like you said they are almost identical and you explained some parts of the specs I didn't know the meaning of at first. you just saved me €/$100 by explaining the functions. The deal breaker between these 2 are the 25 watt charger against the 15 watt on the 52, the 5000 Mah battery against the 4500 Mah, the 3 times optical telephoto lens against the useless dept lens for the 52. And the 0.2 inch bigger screen. For me it was the reason to choose the 72 instead of the 52. I use the 3 times optical telephoto lens a lot btw.

HI Riva? The only thing which is missing, that there is not a significant difference within the price range between A52 and A72 in the Uk. It might be in other global markets. A52 retails at £399 where A72 retails at £419 in the Uk. For someone who is buying a smartphone around £400, wouldn't think about saving money in this category. It's only £20 difference in the Uk between both of these handsets. If you was to compare the price difference between the A52/72 and the S20FE 4G/5G then there is a big difference within the price range.

Hi guys, I’m currently saving up for my first phone and I am choosing on which of the two is the best for me. I would like to choose one with great performance, and great battery. I will most probably just use it for social apps like KZbin and Facebook and for online class, although I do play some games, I will just play for around 30-45 minutes. Leave it to Samsung to basically make the same phone twice with one being slightly bigger. I have both and these two are pretty much identical. The A52 is my daily driver because I like the size of it more, but besides that they're identical. Maybe it's just my imagination, but the A72 seems to have a slightly better display.

Honestly I think the a72 has better camera from all the videos I was watching , and if you want to enhance things and make them really pop I recommend editing the pictures, add more light , saturation etc

Probably made that way to absorb the force of impact better to decrease chance of damaging the phone in the case it fell or it's just the cheaper materials used compared to more expensive phones I think its both of these...like something of a compromise.

There are differences between both phones. A72 offers a slight bigger display, 8mp telephoto camera and a 5000 mah battery. Other then that, both phones are identical in everything else. Btw, both phones offer the same charging speeds up to 25w charging but both come with 15w chargers instead.

A52 if u dont care too much about camera quality and would like to save a little on a new phone, a72 if u want a little bigger battery and slightly better camera with slightly larger screen. U basically pay more for the better camera, slightly bigger battery and screen for the a72. They are otherwise identical. Edit: forgot to add that since a72 cones with more powerful charger it can charge faster. U could just buy a second charger for ur a52 that would then charger as fast as a72 with similar charger but depends on price I guess.
