I bought the A52 a week ago and not regretting it for a minute, beautiful display, it's fast, good battery, great camera and no bs price of the flagships and gimmicks that you use once and never again. I've always been a flagship owner until now, after seeing price going up and features going down, I have headphone jack, sd card slot or dual sim if I want, one ui 3.1 out of the box, I'm not a gamer but I love movies and extremely happy with display after coming from note 9, I paid AU$599 for the a52 'BARGAIN' compared to the flagships at 2x or 3x the price here, waste of money IMO.The only downfall is that it come with a crapload of bloatware garbage that I deleted via ADB powershell on PC, now just waiting to see the difference in battery in the future, I honestly think this is a great phone for the money, I've seen other reviews about slow this, slow that, GIVE ME A BREAK, if you can't wait an extra millisecond for the fingerprint to unlock or an app to open it's not the phone with a problem.Anyway that's my 20 cents worth,thanks for reading......OH!, almost forgot, I also get the live buds included with phone, via redemption, woohoo.

Agree, I really like this year's A series. A52 especially is very good. It's not the best in anything but it packed almost everything you want in an affordable phone, not losing much from flagship in fact it's better in some parts. Stuffs like fast 90Hz OLED, dual stereo speakers, IP67, camera with OIS. Unlike S21, it got headphone jack and expandable storage ! I'm going to recommend this phone to my mom because her phone just got slip in the water recently, thankfully the phone is alright but the screen has become misbehave and dimmer than usual lol. Btw I'm envious that you get Buds Live alongside the phone, what a great deal :D

Yeah explain yourself to spend less money :) S20FE is 5G, better display, better camera setup, better processor, better build quality, wireless charging. These are the main factors makes the price differance. A52 fight in a lower tier. It can compete with Redmi Note 10 Pro.

The Battery life difference is mainly coming from the CPU power and also the refresh rate. In both cases, S20 FE is superior hence requires more battery. I Still prefer A52 over S20 FE, the price difference is huge.

In the shots that you said looked identical, A52 was clearly losing details in the highlights which was the sky. Take a look at the picture with the grafitti and the front cam video clip.

Understand that the A52 hasn't gotten any updates yet and cameras improve with updates. That said, it doesn't mean it'll be better than the FE. Just noting that it will still potentially get better.

Bruh why do you not notice the difference in dynamic range, colors, and sharpness on your first samples of photos? They are not the same. S20 FE has a better dynamic range, more colors, and sharper than the A52.

Yo the galaxy s20 fe is on ebay for last than 400. I don't need a new phone. I just bought the lg k92 unlocked for 200 3 months ago. But damm. Dex, 120 OLED screen, in display fingerprint scanner, and a flagship processor. Plus 2 years of updates. I don't do games. But the side fingerprint scanner pisses me off when you havd a case on. You can't format sd card to internal memory. And no face unlock.

I bought s20 FE second hand but they changed the battery twice for me as every time it was draining fast, like 50% after 3h screen time. I still have the same problem even after the new original Samsung battery was placed. I am going to return the phone today and change to A52 as I read a lot of reviews on how the battery drains fast.

Here comparing s20 fe 5G from a52 5G, FE is a lot better as the difference is only approx 100USD and you will get a flagship snapdragon 865 phone and a proper telephoto

It's not quite the same.....difference probably just the cameras, A52 5G Snapdagon 750 5G (8nm), battery 4,500mAh, USB Type-C 2.0, IP67......S20 FE Snapdragon 865 5G (7nm+), different CPU, different GPU, no 3.5mm Jack, audio by AKG, USB Type-C 3.2, IP68. For gamers and people who loves using cameras, S20 FE 5G is better choice.....for non gamer who's not too particular about cameras.....A52 5G offers better value.....after all no point paying extra $ for something you'll hardly if ever use.

But A52 5G is also at 120Hz so O don't think there is an advantage towards the FE apart from its camera which can shoot 4K @ 60fps videos whereas A52 4G/5G can only shoot 4K @ 30fps. And the S20 FE that was released here is apart from expensive is the non-5G and Exynos ones compare to the A52 where there is a 5G option that is still way cheaper than buying the S20 FE.

Hmmm, strange. The OIS on my A52 is better that what's demonstrated here. So much so that I wondered if your unit has a faulty OIS system. I have done walk and run tests and i'd have to run hard to get the same judder seen in your preview here. Walking is, very very smooth. Similar to the S20 fe actually. I'm not being biased, to the contrary I'm trying to find weaknesses in the A52 and the OIS certainly never came out as one the way it does here. I re-watched it, there's something wrong with your device. When standing still it was moving around. Your motor is faulty. For me, when standing still or panning the phone either in picture or video mode, it's like it's on a steady gimbal.

Dynamic range in those photos (mainly the skies) were subpar on the A52. The S20 FE crushed the camera aspect of the comparison. And performance wise, the FE will outperform the A-series mid ranger in every single task possible bar battery life. There's actually no comparison possible. One is a flagship, the other is a mid-ranger.

52s has much better fingerprint scanner? You dont need to wake up the screen to use it? I am used to Xiaomi fast side finger scanner. I have tried S21, it is OK but the battery life is horrible.

If you got the money to buy the S20 FE 5G, then that would be great. It has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and Adreno 650 so better battery life, performance and it won't overheat as much as the S20 FE (4G) which has the Exynos 990 and this is bad.

From this video, I would pick the A52. 90hz of refresh rate. But I would prefer the A52 5G as it is the best bang for your bucks. 120hz refresh rate, good display, good for general use and gaming. May experience stutters when playing high demanding (graphically intensive) games such as Asphalt 9 because it has the Snapdragon 750G chipset and Adreno 619 as the GPU. 4,500 mAH battery and so does the S20 FE 5G. 800 nits of brightness.

Snapdragon if you buy the 5g version even if you're in Europe it's still snapdragon but if you buy the 4g version in Europe its exynos so I recommend buying the 5g version

Those differences are not marginal. Feel and premium nature are the S20 FE's main points. Its waaay better in everything. The A52 feels so so cheap. I held it and left it. Its a very good budget phone. The IP rating is not as good. Its just IP67, so it should never be submerged in water. In retrospect, no one should ever submerge a phone in water anyways. Unless they have quite a lot of money. A51 5g should be recommended because the average Joe doesn't care about refresh rates, and waterproof. That being said the camera is better than the A51, by a long shot. Wonderful review as always
