Seems the S20 FE has better performance benchmarks regarding processor and storage, and has 3x optical zoom on the telephoto lens, BUT its an older phone that will see fewer remaining updates. Depends what you want out of a phone

actually you're wrong a53 will receive one software update (12 to 13) and s20fe being part of the flagship family will receive four software updates (probably to android 14) mine is already on android 13.

What a good job you've done for us, thank you so much. Yet, it is still not easy for me to decide which one. Having the latest version is important as Samsung doesn't support 3 years later it is released. Also, thinking the operating system.

That's a good point. I wasn't sure either but being 1.5 years newer gives 1.5 years more support. I just want a better camera than the free moto g they gave me. Slow phone

I have the Galaxy A53 5g in Awesome White with 8GB Ram / 256GB internal storage and I'm definitively satisfied with it.

just wait for a while and it will start to lag significantly. and it's 64MP camera has no chance when compared with s20fe's 12 MP with RAW support. The only better thing on a53 is 5g support nothing more. Plus being nonflagship it won't receive more than one major software update (maybe 2) while s20 is already updateable to 13 (third major update) and it will eventually probably receive android 14.

I wouldnt actually consider which one is better, remember, s20 fe is an OLDER phone, so it will be supported for a shorter amount of time than a53. Even though it used to be a flag phone, it is NOT anymore. So if I would make a choice, I probably choose A53 out of them both. Just because it is newer so will be used for longer time.

A53 will be laggy in next 3year or less Even software support or not😂 But flagships will remain smooth software support or not

@@mgsan4702 im not sure about that, im using s20 fe currently and in some circumstances apps are working worse without software updates. As long as I postpone samsung updates at some point its kinda necesarry to do so.

macro lenses are a scam so s20fe without it actually has better photo quality than a53 significantly. 3dmark wildlife test score is also almost doubled in comparison to a53. A53 has almost double the amount of MHz on the gpu side but it is still slower than s20fe's
