A55 is a great phone. Samsung always finds a way to directly compete with every other company...but.... Wow! Xiaomi's phone is incredible. Xiaomi's collaboration with Leica definitely improved the camera experience on this brand. To be honest, (in my eyes) the photos that were taken with the Xiaomi 14T were more eye pleasing and better in most of the scenarios. The color reproduction, tones and night mode really got my attention. Hands down for the selfies too! Incredible performance, good details and smooth portraits. The focal length option for the portraits is incredible too. Leica's authentic/vibrant mode option is a huge boost as well. This camera will never get boring. It has so many options and Xiaomi phones are excellent, especially for street photography! I'm a Samsung user since Galaxy S2. This is the first time that I decided to change my phone brand after so many years. I want to get the 14T Pro or the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Xiaomi improved a lot during the years, and Samsung is a bit "limited" to its camera inovations.

Wow, I needed to see this as I'm currently trying to decide between these two. Can you adjust the bokeh on the a55? Because you can with Xiaomi. Samsung's portrait mode looks very artificial.

I think beautification is on in xiaomi. I have 14t and when i open camera beutification is automatically on,so i have like beutified selfie or portrait so i manually turn it off.

14T has a bit more depth to the colors, slightly better shadows, but it is all personal. The difference is small. 14T has Google Nano. This might be a bigger differentiator
