I installed the Good Lock app using a VPN connection and I was able to use the Good Lock app for a couple of days until it started opening a blank page. Translation was already part of iOS, which also used machine learning, as Apple calls it. Yes, you can hold the phone, and it will translate as you speak with someone else. You can also add it to the action button to make it easier, and it works very well. I used it on my trip to Japan.

With new iPhones on the horizon, I wouldn’t recommend going for the 15 Pro, especially with the 16 coming soon. If you’re into translation features, the Galaxy S24 is impressive-you can translate while on a call. I suggest taking the time to research what you truly want from a phone and not getting caught up in the usual Android vs. iOS debates.

Samsung had a head start, and they launched very useful features. Ios 18 will have to add lots of features, but I think apple should have focused on putting a better display on the iphone 16.

Half of the time I use Ai on my Samsung S24 Ultra, I'm using it with my SPen,. The iPhone would definitely need to have and pen for me to even consider switching... which I would not. When apple decides to let users drop and and drag all types of files like Android and Pc, and that means doing it without being forced to use an app to do so, maybe I'll concider trying it out. For now, there's almost nothing I can't do on my Android that I can't do in my windows system, Apple products don't even come close.

It's on-device. The old iphones don't have enough ram. Most other phones (Samsung, Google, etc.) use AI from the cloud. Old iphone users will just have to install the ChatGPT or CoPilot app or something. I've been using CoPilot (formerly known as Bing AI) for a while now... barely even use Siri. Got it linked to backtap gesture for quick access. Sure, I'll upgrade at some point, but not just for this.

@@stephencooper3583 Actually that's incorrect. The only thing that goes on the cloud for AI is Pixel and that's only for specific pictures or videos, Samsung is all on device.

It's not about the generation, it's about RAM. Apple has been notorious for having the bare minimum amount of RAM in all their devices until recently, whereas Samsung and majority of Android devices always gave us a good amount of RAM.
