Cost reduction. Using their own proprietary Exynos is wayyy cheaper than using a Snapdragon! So, after providing best in class screen, best battery, best software experience of OneUI and brand reliability of Samsung, if they went with a SD chip, price would be 3 to 4k more.... People won't buy it for performance, not good for gaming...They will buy it for the general experience, quality, security and brand reliability

@Laxman Dhotre It is actually trash for the price. OLED, in display fingerprint scanner, snapdragon 730G is all there on the Realme X2 which is 20-21K now(It was 19-20 before the tax hike). The difference between exynos 9611 and 730G is huge. I would've been fine if the 9611 was at least as good as snapdragon 710 in CPU and GPU, but it's not. It will lag behind in performance and it's gonna show in 1 or 2 years even in day to day use. It's not just about gaimg.

I think you missed that small star * over that 30.5, for eg note 10 lite two years old Exynos processor is less in their website but it was not the case in retail, plus they have reduced the price since nobody was buying it

Hi. I have never used a Samsung phone but I want to buy M31s. The only concern is that I have heard from a lot of people in the past that Samsung phones hang a lot. Is it the same scenario now too or is there any improvement in that. Pls advise.

by one year all processors loose some amount of performance.imagine losing performance in a 9611. if u are purchasing for 1 year then this phone will never disappoint

The truth is, almost everyone does use their phone a lot. 1-2 years from now, that exynos is gonna lag behind even in day to day performance. It's not even as good as a snapdragon 712 which is a minimum for a phone of this price.
