A lot of people don't need all of that stuff, they just need a simple, compact and convenient phone. I had a Galaxy Nexus which is a clearly better device, but I traded it in for an iPhone 4s because I just never used any of those extra fancy features. I use my tablet for EVERYTHING, so I really dont need much on a phone besides, music, texting and calling. But some like using their phone for everything so its pretty much personal preference.

I just noticed that as well. The Nexus had the entire flash page loaded mid sentence (the flash sidebar shows the difference) while the iPhone finished about when he finished his sentence.

Both are great phones. I had the Nexus for about a month and loved it. Now i have the 4s and Love it also. All depends on your usage on it and how much you really wanna do on it. BOTH ARE GREAT!

My Galaxy Nexus never really failed me when it comes to battery life, I consider myself a fairly frequent user and I usually end the day around 20% (about 2-3 hours screen on and around 15 hours total). I have also seen many of my friends who own iphones complain about battery and have it die on them when we're hanging out at around 6 pm.

I may be wrong, but I believe I saw a bar at the top of the Galaxy Nexus's page. I think the Nexus displayed it faster, but it wasn't fully loaded at the moment, the iPhone loaded it completely first.

I'm 5'2", my hands are small. I have a Galaxy Nexus. I use it with one hand comfortably. It feels perfect. The iphone 4s is miniscule and pixel density doesn't beat resolution. Galaxy nexus with ICS was still faster than the iphone 4S in your video. Now I have Jellybean, It'll smoke that puny 4S.

Both have Dual cores ARM Cortex-A9 Processor.... 800 Mhz on Iphone 4S on an "Apple A5" SoC, and 1200Mhz on Galaxy Nexus on an "OMAP 4460" SoC by Texas Instruments. Many people think that the Apple A5 its the processor but its the "SoC" Chip. So both have Basically the same processor only with 50% higher frecuency on the OMAP version. Diference on speed many times are given by the OS and software optimizations.

The graphics are much faster on the 4S, but not quite as fast at loading because that is using more of the CPU, not the GPU. And this comparison is not accurate at all because both of them have things running in the background, especially the iPhone, it had over 12 things running at one time, probably a lot more.

What people dont know is that Galaxy Nexus is a developer-oriented phone, it was made to experiment on.. What you cant do on iPhone is change the OS to something better, nor change kernels into faster ones.. he's using stock.. Go with for example, bigxie's rom and Trinity kernel at 1600mhz, voila.. GNex is twice as fast as iphone any day :P

A note on the web browsing; you have to take notice that while the iPhone was faster on the desktop, the Nexus is running Flash. Not quite fair, since the Nexus has to load more.

Pretty sure the only thing making you think twice before buying a GNex to take the 4S is the camera... It's undeniable it can take great shots... If you are more in camera take 4S, or else Gnex

Look, forget everything I said. Both phones are very nice smartphones. I am an apple fan by the way. Its just so much "HATE" talk when it comes to the Apple iPhones. Which one is really better really doesn't matter to me. Both phones are highly unique smartphones, you, an Android fan can at least agree with me on that. I'm being very honest with you right now. I'm not lying. I was out of line because there is more "HATE" than "DISLIKE" of the Apple products by so many others.

Although I do think that both of these phones are excellent phones, I don't understand the complaint about not being able to "hide" apps you don't use on the iPhone. If you don't use the app, why don't you just uninstall it? No point in having it if you don't use it....

Note that when the iPhone loads pages, Safari will often claim that a page is finished loading all its elements, when in fact if you look at the status bar the data indicator is still going. Clever, Apple.

I think that they are pretty evenly matched, with the Nexus having the bigger screen but the iPhone counters that with a higher resolution density screen etc. I think that doing the internet test and saying that one phone is better than the other is just stupid, as they are still within seconds of each other - same as in the games. It's just personal preference, just as with any other phone on the market today, there is no wrong or right phone to have.

No it's not... it's 960x640... The Nexus is 1280x720. It's just the iPhone is more then an inch smaller which makes it have a larger pixel density.

Actually the Apple uses a trick - even if the page is not fully loaded the loading bar disappears which makes a better user experience, but the fact is that the page loads slower than the Galaxy Nexus :)

I have to admit that i do love the Galaxy Nexus more than the iPhone 4s, but sadly, i cant use the Nexus to it's full potential because of its below average battery life... instead of amazing software, samsung and apple should work on trying to deliver phones with better battery life. The text of the Galaxy Nexus is very crisp and clear, there is nothing to complain about it. No human can see the difference between 316 ppi and 326 ppi. Also, while comparing screens, it should be mentioned that the Galaxy Nexus has a 1280x720 screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio which means you can watch a 720p video without it being reduced or enlarged and without black bars.

It's not a box. All phones share a similar shape and design. The iPhone is simply more consistent in it's shape as opposed with the other phones that have round off and bumpy shapes.

I have both and I have to say the Nexus is better......the only thing on the iphone that is better is that the whites are def whiter and the brightness of the screen...........other than that if you go to Verizon you can get 4g LTE and it fly's compared to my iphone. Basically the nexus can do EVERYTHING the Iphone can do Plus Google Play is SOOO much better than ITUNES. I have a Nexus 7 and I have always owned Iphones, but those days are gone. You wont regret the switch.

i was talking about instant push notifications.. android has 3 min delay for twitter.. ios is smoother.. i own the original galaxy s, s2 and an iphone4 and use the s2 for browsing and watching videos.. iphone's keyboard is just the right size for texting.. maybe nexus is better..

When it comes to a popular phone, you get what you want personally, I paid 199.99 with the two-year contract on my 4s, if i honestly wanted any other phone, HTC, Nokia, S3, S2, Nexus, etc., ( I would have gotten one of those, I had enough money for any of them before I got my 4s, but I, "personally" chose the 4s above all. I just like the phone alright, I've told you why in my last comments. Just tell me, what can the HTC do that the 4s can't, because my 4s does pretty much anything, so explain?

i had iphone 3g for 2 years , perfect phone but after year and a 3/4 phone started to lag , get slower and wi-fi stoped working , after iphone i bought htc wildfire , not a perfect android but to me it was much better then iphone , now i have lg optimus 2x , beautifl phone better then iphone 4s , now im going for galaxy nexus :D :D cant wait , people who had ios and android know the diferense , ANDROID FOR LIFE

the galaxy nexus won almost all the web browsing tests, on the iphone it has the small circle icon at the top at the notification bar that shows that the iphone has not finished loading, it says it has but it has not

i have original galaxy s , s2 and an iphone4. I was talking about instant push notifications and ios in my opinion is much smoother. the keyboard is better than s2 in my opinion.. i copy paste a lot of quotes on twitter and iphone is a life saver.. and i use my s2 for browsing and watching videos.. apple app store has better apps.. some are paid but better

I would totally buy an iPhone if they support flash player. That and because it is beautiful. Androids are ugly in my opinion but can run flash player. Such a hard choice to choose from between the two. Can't decide whether I care more about looks or capability.

At the end I believe the nexus has a better frame rate when recording 1080p. The iPhone frame rate was kind of choppy.

Sorry dude but the phone with the highest dpi is the HTC Rezound. 1280 by 720 over 4.3 inches which adds up to 341 dpi.
