The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (Samsung Galaxy Note II) is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note that was launched in Q4 2011 and was launched on the 30th of Sep 2012 in India.

I switched from the iPhone 3g, I like the bigger screens, customization, quick toggles, notifications, removable batteries, micro sd, ability to plug in mouse and k/b, flash drives, the non reliance on itunes... these are what I can think of right now :D

download double twist on both the phone and the pc (free) then use doubletwists import from itunes feature to import all music onto dubletwist and then sync over to your phone (if are ok paying extra then buy airsync for doubletwist and you can sync over wifi). I believe the same options are available with winamp as well and wireless syncing is free with it but didnt work very well for me bro... hope this helps

s4 cam features to note 2... not sure its a 50-50... better hold onto ur note 1... its almost may already ... another 5 months the note 3 will be out... the thing is, I always tell ppl get a device when u want, dont wait cuz theres always something new around the corner... I am askin u to wait only cuz being used to the spen, the note 3 seems to be the better replacement... that should have the same specs but a bigger battery and a higher clockspeed

you are going to love it, believe me am an ex-iphone user (iphone 3g) from there to htc desire -> desire hd -> and now note, note 2, s3, nexus 4, one x... my personal favorite note 2... the battery life difference is AMAZING.. 230 pics in my album tapped it open and scrolled thro all thumbnails were already generated no lag at all.. you will not regret it believe me... welcome to the note 2 family :D

Buddy what am saying is the desire received upgrades for a mere 8 months... the note 2 will receive KLP, the note and s2 might but if they do they will be exceptions to the general android rule... and the first devices to have a long upgrade life cycle... even the galaxy s which came out with 2.1 or 2.2 did not receive full ICS... the trend change started with the s2 and only with samsung

the hover is a note 2 feature that samsung has incorporated, google and youtube have not done it, if they do add hover support in the future, we should be able to do it, till then we are outta luck :(

dont worry about the battery, it lasts 2 days for moderate use (an hour music over bt, 2-3 hours calls, an hour or 2 browsing, wifi on all the time

This was made a couple months ago, and I have the US Verizon model with some missing features, but this remains one of the best overviews I've seen on the phone. There is a lot of not very good Note 2 content all over KZbin, I think this is the most helpful review. Nice work and thank you.

all am saying is, I give credit where credit is due, I love android to the core but future proofing is not smwhr android shines, iOS does a much better job of future proofing devices.. iPhone 3GS came in june 2009, iOS 6 comes 3+ years later and the 3gs gets some updates atleast... the 2 yr old iPhone 4 gets loads of features.. compare android phones... desire was androids hottest selling phone is 2010 and it was updated to gingerbread that was released the same year (2.1-2.2-2.3)...

hey they were asking about screen recording, in early ads for the note 2 samsung featured the option of recording the screen with your audio but that and multi window were removed at launch, the multi window has been added later on but the screen capture hasnt yet

if you are size conscious - s3, if you thing the note 2's size is something you'd appreciate and if you like the s-pen features then go for the note 2, you can not go wrong with either phones buddy, gluck :)

I am not a fan of the iPhone bro... am not an apple hater, I like the iPad but feel the iPhone is overpriced... let me give you something to think of... the RAM or processors of iPhones need not be as powerful as an android phone to give an equal performance... the reason being androids fragmented... too many devices to support while the iPhone has an OS that is designed around a certain hardware... the huge amount of devices is what boosted Android sales and made Android a contender to ios...

its really good but will 5.5" suit you? I didnt have a problem moving to the 5.3" note from the 4.3" desire hd... and I havent met one person whos used the note/note 2 for over a month complain about the size but to each his own I guess... just go to a store pick it up and see how it feels in your hand, if you like it, go for it... all other stuff, speed, quality... its great just see if the size is for you

it doesnt do that, the proximity sensor disables the screen, should be an individual issue with the model you own bro, I had a desire hd that used to do that, was pretty annoying, was a messed proximity sensor

buddy I feel the iPhones over priced and am not a fan, from my video and my channel you know how much I love android and the galaxy series but I assure you the gorilla glass 2 on the note 2 and the s3 are not worth the hype...they do scratch quite easily and iPhone seems to come ahead on every drop test Ive seen (haveht done one personally but my s3 shattered for a feet and a half fall from my lap) :'(

... but right now its the fragmentation that stops android from being as powerful as it should... just think of a game designed with a low sys requirement, yes if you run it on a high end pc it will look good but then again think of a game that was designed sorely for mid end pcs... a mid end pc might run a game designed for a mid end pc better than a high end pc can run a game designed for a low end pc... I know am not being really clear, sorry :D
