Moved from my note 4 to note 5 a week ago. Best device I have ever held in my hand. Way better made, very solid, very fast, smaller. I was always advocating for the removable battery and the SD card until I realized that I had already changed 4 generations of Samsung and never used any of these two features. It's your perfect everyday business device with a sleeker design and better build quality. The best phone around, period.

awesome phone I've had it 3 weeks. super fast. On power save mode I'm always getting 7 1/2 hours on screen. I'm a really heavy user. battery charges very quickly and surprises me everything how quick it charges and what an excellent camera. Traded in my G4 and never looked back

There's not a lot to impress here. Writing when the screen is "off" (it's really just black) is fine, but I already ahve my Note 4 set up to launch S-Note when I take the pen out, so it wouldn't be much different for me. Samsung Pay would be nice, but I'll stick with Android Pay, rather than downgrading to a phone without expandable storage and a replaceable battery.

well touchwiz u could root it and flash another ROM, well.. i don't use fingerprint sensor on my phone. The lack of SD card and removable storage PLUS the not so good battery life killed the N5. N4 also has fast charging.

+MrJuliusJun battery life is just better managed by N5.. it gets 30 min to 1 hour more than N4.. N5 faster than the N4 fast charge. SDcard slows down phone and not compatible with UFS 2.0 which makes the phone MUCH faster. of course you should not upgrade from N4 since its not worth paying 700 dollar again after 1 year, you should keep the phone for 2 years at least.. while its worth from N3..

Although there is the omission of the expandable storage, IR blaster, and removable back, I still see the Note 5 as an excellent powerhouse. It is still a performace champ especially consdering UFS 2.0 and 4gb DDR4 RAM and the best camera in today's generation. People should stop thinking about what is missing but rather focus on what this offers. The moment I tried it on stores made me convinced to get this. You should really consider trying it out too.

"Fall in love with it" till you soon run out of memory! This phone should be 128gb standard since they removed the SD card support .I've already filled the SD card on my NOTE 4 and need a 128gb. Remember whatever version you get you aready loose about 10gb to the OS even before installing anything so a 32gb version gives you only 24gb. Samsung is now making better iPhones!

I went from the Samsung Galaxy S3, to the Note 3, to this Note 5 last week and im highly impressed. I had heard there was a Dishwash Assist feature, but am so "disappointed" when I heard that's only included in the iPhone 6 18 and under version. I digress though. A what exactly were you expecting man on the video? My camera sucked holy shit holes on the Note 3, the 5 is gorgeous, it's not my Nikon, but I could lie and say it was. To everyone who thinks the Note 5 isn't an upgrade or a "downgrade" have you even used it in person? It's an excellent phone. I tried it out at the Samsung booth in Best Buy and fell in love with it. I've never been interested in the Note series before. I own the LG G2 and have never needed to replace the battery and 32gb is more then enough for me even with the software taking up 8gb. Samsung has won me over this year, I'll be upgrading to it in the near future!

Can someone help me out. This doesn't happen with all my songs but with the stock my player on certain songs i get this really irritating clicking sound. lol I'm watching this from the Note 5. Even though I'm disappointed in how the phone is not the power house of a phone that it used to be, I can deal with it for a year until the Galaxy Note 6 comes out. I feel that Samsung will listen to the hardcore Note users such as myself on the next go around.

note 5. Samsung has a better screen to body ratio as Nexus 6p has thicker bezel. note 5 is lighter. 16mp camera vs 12 on the Nexus. shutter speed control. smaller pixels. 4gb ram on note, 3gb on Nexus. note 5 has wireless charging, the new Nexus 6p does not. the note 5 will work with all my existing chargers and connectors but the Nexus 6p uses usb-c. the note 5 was cheaper than the Nexus 6p and has more features and higher specifications. the Nexus 2013 line was great value as it was powerful and cheap, I love my 2013 Nexus 5. but the 2015 ones are no longer cheap and they aren't that powerful.

does anyone know what happened to the sidebar of Note4 (tap and hold back button).that was so useful when I'm playing a game and I needed to go online or calculator, messaging.did they take it out?I used it so much and now it's gone. : (note 5 is an amazing phone but some features that we had before are no longer here and I miss it

Why is the scrolling so bad on android devices? i've had a htc, i've got the samsung s6 edge and on apps like twitter and instagram the scrolling feels absolutely HORRIBLE, it lags behind your finger, i'm not a fanboy but it's much better feeling on the iphone.. i want the nexus 6p and this is the only reason holding me back. it gets ignored on reviews but it's blatant, android was supposedly 'caught up' in that department years back

can someone confirm if the note 5 still has a monotone/ grayscale/ bow mode in its camera effects? when I looked at a display model at bestbuy I didn't see it. the galaxy s6 has it why not the note 5?

You said Samsung Design S pen to insert both sides, I tried I damaged the sensor of detaching, and the cataloge also shows dont insert upside down.

So what do you do when it freezes or you need to remove the battery for some other reason like dropping it in water? So i can no longer carry a secondary battery with me in case of an emergency? What happens when you run out of room or for people who like to use their phone like an mp3 player and load up on their favorite mp3s? i understand trying to compete with iPhone, but i am so glad i read these things about the note 5 before buying it, which i was about ready to do! i shall upgrade my note 3 to note 4 instead and see what the future holds for the Samsung Note. i am really saddened by this, but these two features are something that i just have to have.

Hey dude. I have question. Im a Gamer. How many hours it will last (100% battery) if you are playing high graphics games like asphalt 8 with the brightness is set to 100%. I mean your playing until the battery goes to 0%. Please replay. Thanks... Planning to Buy the Note 5.

A little astonished that no one (not even the video review) has mentioned the Note 5 doesn't allow you to clear the RAM. The only mention of the topic was when he said that they downloaded many apps and the phone never slowed. What about running many processes at once and then killing them all...the RAM will still be quite high...

I am so bummed out over the lack of expandable memory in the Galaxy Note 5. I had every intention of finally dumping my iPhone for the Galaxy Note 5. I've been playing with a Galaxy Note 4 that belongs to my sister-in-law and found it to be pretty cool, especially the micro-sd slot, camera, and screen. Now I don't know what I will do. Maybe I will wait until next year when Samsung relocates their sanity and returns the SD-card slot to the Galaxy Note 6.

yo can one of yall help me real quick, you know for iphones when u wanna move your apps around you gotta hold onto it and then u can move the location of the apps, how do you do that for andriod? i got a samsung note 5 but when i hold down the apps on the app screen (not my home screen) it wont let me change the order of the apps? thanks guys

I have been a day 1 Note purchaser since the beginning. However I haven't bought the 5 since I was turned off by the lack of expandable memory and removable battery prior to its release. Doing some research I learned about the benefits of Samsungs inclusion of UFS 2.0 and think it is a worthy trade off. One thing that continues to bother me is that the max storage is 64gb. I feel that carriers and Google are trying to push people into using cloud storage but since the major carriers are no longer offering unlimited data, I don't see cloud storage as a strong option. I think its silly for carriers to respond by asking if we have wi-fi at home. If we are limited to usining wi-fi at home then why continue to call these mobile devices. But with that one complaint, I have still changed my point of view on the major changes with the Note 5. I am considering its purchase in the near future. Would really like to see a 128gb model.

I had trialed the Note 4 Edge and loved it. Decided to get the Note 5. I figure if I have a portable charger with me that is small attached while I am out and about not using it -- fast charger at home and I am a power user of dropbox (which is free) then I am not going to miss the sd slot. the battery swap -- that is compelling, but if they are not choosing to go ahead with it, then you have aging technology that might well fail on you. Would rather instead lease than purchase since phones change so frequently. At least in the US, you can get pretty great leasing plans and I do not want *buyers remorse* on a $700 plus object. At T-mobile I can lease 3 different phones each year and the price is between $20-$30 per month. Who cares. The price of phones rapidly deteriorate anyway.
