This got me thru my masters program. Everyone used to print out their PowerPoints i used to download them on this and write notes on them in the lecture. Was a life saver.

I bought this on my first year of university in 2014 and I am still using it now. This tablet is the best, so comfy, handy, useful. Sadly I lost my s pen, but even without it I still use this a lot. I had issues with the port for sim card but got it fixed and now it's perfectly working. Still the best one I had

this tablet is the greatest thing ever for drawing and sketching. the proximity ware and stylus pen gives total precision and control. unlike capacitive screen and your average stylus pen. best purchase I've ever made in life.

Hello, I am a time traveler and I come to say that more than 10 years ago I bought my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 thanks to this video. Being 2023 I still have it and Surprisingly it still works, it just needs a new battery and it will still work like the first day. Thanks for the memories, DetroitBORG.

Bought this about 7 months ago. One of the best purchases I 've made in recent years. I love the S pen. The screen is awesome, sometimes the rotation gets a bit slow especially when you first unlock the screen after it has been inactive for a few hours. I love the Android OS as well.

The USB connector is the weak point Galaxy Note 8.0, some of my friends used it for a few months and cannot charge the unit anymore.

Hi Mick, What would you recommend, the WiFi only version and then get the Note 3 phone to go with it, or would you recommend the LTE version? I have researched for a very long time and it looks like this one beats them all. I'm going to be using it for medical school as well as later on once I am in the field. Please help. Thank you. Your review was certainly one of the more comprehensive I have seen. You missed a few things that Note users are accustomed to (like you were afraid to rest your palm on the screen, it has palm rejection), you showed other things that others didn't know or didn't bother to highlight, like S Voice. All in all a great review.

I haven't heard anything to horrible about the Note 8.0. It seems pretty cool with all the features and it beats newer versions and others in my opinion. I noticed lots of defective devices out there. I want to be safe than sorry. :/

I bought this one two days ago, and it might not be a so called premium tablet but it is a pretty decent one. I loved this review as it showed me so many things I didn't know about it. As for the screen resolution it is really good despite the fact it is not a retina display one. I might wait to see what Apple is going to show in the near future.

I just got this tablet yesterday and it´s awesome. You can do much more thing than with an iPad, the performance is pretty good and the S pen is really useful.

Yes I did. And it's fantastic!!! I have 2 Asus tablets, the tf201 and the tf700; the tf 201 had a known design flaw in the wifi radio and I found the tf700 lacking in that area as well. This Samsung tablet has a blazing fast wifi radio and loads of software features, most notably the S Pen. I recommend this tablet to anyone without hesitation. It's a gem.

Great video, you may have affected my buying decision. Hope you can help, do you know if the screen will still work if you are wearing gloves? Thinking of winter time when its cold and you are outside waiting for a bus/train. I suppose you can use the pen but again while wearing gloves its kinda annoying. Especially if you have to take one glove off just to pull out the stylus then to put the glove back on and attempt to grab and use it.

I would definatly use the 8.0 because it also comes with the pen and it will make it much more easy. Also you can divide your screen with different apps and browser searches

I'm either getting the iPad Mini 2 or Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. Personally, I want the Galaxy, but I told my mom to buy the iPad because it costs less, since she likes making me happy she refused to get the iPad. She knew I wanted the Galaxy more, and I just really love the stylus that it comes with. For you know working on math problems when we are on a trip. Also, yes I know you can buy a pen like stylus for the iPad Mini.

I'm in love with this tablet, I haven't owned one before and this will satisfy my media consumption and school note taking needs. It's expensive but I'm willing to overlook it as it looks very promising. Btw, I was playing around with it in Best Buy Mobile and the screen honestly looks very good to me.
